We need to be looking at nothing less than a win on Saturday. Barrow, Mansfield and Northampton have recently beaten these who are all placed around us in the league.

This weekend also sees Barrow v Leyton Orient so any win by us will claw back the two at the top in some form as both can't get 3 points this weekend.

Everyone up to 12th behind us is only 1 win away from having the same points so as good as our form has been recently we must continue to push on and take advantage of this string of home games.

 

We are going to smash them to bits, C'MON CITY!!!!

I was at the far end of the main stand to where they were attacking second half, odusina was ripping their 9s shirt off every time. Swings and roundabouts and all that.

As long as it works both ways, that's fair enough

 

I think we should of gone more direct sooner than we did. Cook was getting heated with their no.5 so I understood why why got taken off but he should of had a striker partner next to him for longer to eason the burden

 

Well we got out of jail there.

Periera has really disappointed me so far. Looked yards off the pace of the game.

Chapman showed glimpses of electric pace and good movement.

Otherwise we were second best for long spells.

Cannot recall Hendrie winning that many headers as The Wombles clearly targeted him.

We missed Wright, Crichlow and Halliday so its good that they are going to be back in contention next week.

Oliver won loads of flick ons and 'that' header.

We never gave up and other seasons we would have lost that game.

Thought Angol also did more in his short stint than Periera did all game.

Unbeaten at home, 7th in the table with arguably our most influential player out injured, 4 points off auto promotion place.

Great team spirit to fight to the end, reminiscent of great City teams of the past. Never say die spirit in abundance.

So much to be optimistic about.

We badly miss Walker, whilst not knowing what Odasebe would bring to the party. Dion was off it today (again) and Odusina isn’t what I expected (just yet). He doesn’t command the air like Platt and seemed to dive in a bit. Time yet but most of the forwards in this league will be hairy arsed experienced lumps so he needs to learn quickly. Yann must be wondering what he’s done wrong because I think against your Wimbledons we needed that physicality. We were too easily brushed off the ball today. A point gained but I’m still waiting for us to up the anti.

 

Missing today Halliday ,Wright to go along with Critchlow, Ridehaulgh, Walker, Osadibe. Eisa we have never seen ,East did not even make the squad. Harratt has no divine right to play. We gained a point from what i thought was our worse performance at home this season without 5 maybe 6 players who could start games for me. Everyone fit he might not even make the match day squad. The strength in depth will stand us in good stead come the winter months and i still do not think we have clicked yet.

 

I thought the decision to bring Sutton on was strange. Angol and Oliver made sense and both had an impact and helped us get the second goal but Sutton didn’t make a huge amount of sense. Surely Young was a better choice given we needed a goal and he has the ability to beat a man and grab a goal.

I have no issue with Sutton coming on when we’re holding onto a lead but chasing a goal seemed strange. We got the point I suppose so that’s something.

 

Totally agree. What a refreshing read this was vs some of the donkeys we’ve had wear our clubs shirt in recent seasons. Great attitude from Oliver. There’s definitely a distinct improvements to the characters we’ve brought in this season vs previous.

ill be disappointed with anything less than 9 points from the next 3 games. We should be winning all of them if we have aspirations of the Autos. the next 3 are all very winnable.

 

I think Hendrie is having a good game he's getting up and down not sure what more he can do.

 

If the first half doesn’t show our weakest link, I called it, then this confirms it…Hendrie, awful imho.
