Harratts dad not too happy on social media it seems. I wish players parents would keep their mouths shut. It does the young lads no good at all.

Got out of jail there and actually felt like a win with that last gasp goal. Its good to see time wasting teams concede in the 95th minute and Smallwood wasn't shy in telling half the Don's players.
Another great start, and thought we were going to steamroller them after being all over them in that first 20 minutes or so. Credit to the Dons, they grew in confidence and started to get create chances of their own.
Dons best team in the second half and probably deserved their lead. However, the antics of the last 10 minutes backfired on them and served them right.
Good to see Oliver getting off the mark and won every header when he came on.
Either Pereira was not fit or he was daydreaming because it felt like we were playing with 10 men until he was substituted.
Good character to come back and preserve their unbeaten home record.
We move on and welcome back Tyriek Wright and Brad Halliday next week. Hendrie failed to take his chance I thought and will surely be benched again next weekSteve Burton, Rocket, Kevin1954 and 5 others like this. -

I thought AFCW were a good team. Great technical ability from their front lads, who combined well with the fullbacks. In this match, way better than us. Chapman the only one to provide any sort of creativity, but more often than not he runs into a dead end, or his ball across the box goes unfinished. He also looks knackered with twenty mins to go. I don’t think this draw was a bad one, we’d have not equalised in seasons gone by. We should however, kill teams off after taking the lead so early on.

I think Wimbledon shot themselves in the foot yesterday once they went ahead. If they had carried on playing as they did up to the second goal they would have won the game.
Instead they all got head injuries, cramp or forgot where to take free kicks and throw ins from.
It's a part of todays game that needs eradicating as the fans pay to see a game of football not applications for RADA.
The only thing the ref did right yesterday was add on the 6 minutes.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Inspector, Idlebantam, Smartmart and 5 others like this. -

Thought I would get this one in early to detract us from the pointless thread of Hughes to Cardiff
Good news for us Bantams with The Wombles losing their main player to injury.
Liked the look of him from watching a few of their highlights recently.
They look pretty short on options also so that is a bonus.
For us of Course, Wright is away on international duty but Pereira is fit, Eisa is around the squad again and Jake Young will be looking to get back into the starting 11.
Halliday at RB is suspended but we know Hendrie coming in for him will give his all and at the back end of last season was getting a number of assists so no worries there.
At CB it might be too early for the return of Crichlow, so I expect Odusina and Platt to continue there partnership with Foulds again at LB as he's performed well with Ridehalgh being out.
So despite not been what you would call the 1st choice starting 11 we should all know by now that we have 24 players in the squad all capable of playing on a matchday and going out and performing to a level that will gain us 3 points.
What a fantastic position we are in.

Let’s be honest we weren’t any worse than against Tranmere and Stevenage for most parts, except where it counts in both boxes.
Cliche but we’ll play worse and win and better and lose this season. Their style was like that of the teams above as well, the players are humans they won’t get it right every game. We should win easily but a combination of Wimbledon losing the last four league games, only winning twice in 2022, our record at ending these runs plus the added ingredient of Darren Drysdale as ref worries me a little.

Don’t know if anyone else noticed, but the players warming up in the second half, signed loads of autographs for kids at the front of the Main Stand.
The three involved were Angol, Oliver and Songo.
Personally I think it is great, helps to strengthen the relationship between young supporters and the club. I am sure it will have made the weekend for many of them.meelin, Bantam Boy, Rogered Tart and 2 others like this. -
