This is the sort of attitude we need from squad players who are not getting regular games.

I agree Dave. Although we need to continue developing as a team under MH and there is certainly room to do so, I feel it is paramount that we learn to dominate play. We are at our best when pressing and on the front foot. Inviting teams to pressure us is a weakness that we need to overcome ... attack being the best form of defence.

You are right but we are getting swamped in the middle. Remember the Dons played 3-5-2. Smallwood and Gilly would struggle if our three aren’t protecting the middle well enough? That’s what Walker was good at. He’s a big miss!

It's really worrying reading the replies to that, several saying stuff like contrasting attitude to Harratt and Harratt needs to take note. I can't see that Harratt has said or done anything to question his attitude and commitment other than the silly red card and his dad's stupid tweet.

My post was not a dig at Harratt or his dad but what is needed with regards players who can't make the starting 11.
I would hope any player on the sidelines would prefer to come back into a side that is doing well rather than a team that's struggling.

Totally agree. What a refreshing read this was vs some of the donkeys we’ve had wear our clubs shirt in recent seasons. Great attitude from Oliver. There’s definitely a distinct improvements to the characters we’ve brought in this season vs previous.

Clever way of getting fans on your side and behind you as opposed to Harratt senior

As I replied to @ahar964@ahar964 it wasn't a pop at Harratt just refreshing to hear Oliver's comment, I'm sure he knows even after breaking his duck last Saturday he wont be starting at Harrogate.

I've been on City forums long enough to know who's having a go, no problem.

I think MH has got his teeth into the job and has re-evaluated his squad. What a great position for us to be in when, if something of quality doesn't quite fit, we can replace and improve with even more quality in January.

What about those who would "come and have a go, if they think they are hard enough". Good old 1970's chant there.

Seems like MH has now recognised that Angol is most effective when played back to goal and centrally rather than stuck out on the wing. He's the best forward we have at holding the ball and laying it off to others.
If we're playing one up top then Cooke is a shoo-in for the starting place at present. But it's good to have different options if we need to change the pattern of play up front, such as Oliver's aerial strength and Angol's close control.
