You must be kidding. Have you seen @bantamdave41's photos from during the match? There's literally 4 empty seats to 1 taken seat on average, and that's in the stands that were open.

I can't be bothered counting but I would wager there were much closer to 5k than 10k there last night.

 

You know my stance with regards Andy Cook I think at times some of the stuff posted on here is way OTT, but I thought last night he was being bullied and never gave the physical stuff back he just waved his arms and complained to the referee from the first challenge you could see the referee wasn't interested, when things aren't going your way you have to try and change it hence my Bobby Campbell comment, he's been in the game long enough to accept the position he plays and what is required of a player playing that role.

I feel sorry for Cook and the awful service he gets but last night he looked like a player who has downed tools.
Probably thinks if he can stay fit he can get a move away in the summer especially if recruitment is poor and he believes another shit season is likely.

 

Maybe he's not the answer then and we need a different option. Which is my point.

There's been talk of our lack of creativity, but we're top in league 2 for chances created and shots in the box over the last 9 games. That doesn't tell the full story because some of those crosses are shite but the crosses are there. Just because it doesn't reach Cooks head also doesn't tell a full story. Anyway i'll leave the Cook debate.

He has his limitations in terms of build up play but give him the service and he'll get you goals at this level. Up to the manager to set up the team to get that service to him.

 

But in this system we play we need every player doing a lot of work. He's not really that man and I think that's why he has dropped off a bit.

 

But he normally does do a lot of running off the ball. He didn’t against Salford but neither did anyone else.

 

I don't disagree. Systems suit players and Cook shows the body language of a player frustrated with the system he's playing in. Similar thoughts to how it's not as simple just throwing Jake Young in and expecting him to carry on his goal scoring exploits.

Very much doubt that - he has a 3 year contract to sit on comfortably which will take him through to the end of his playing days.

There's no real tangible motivation for him at the minute. And that's not his fault.
