Plus Evans is decent at what he does but demands a set of his own players everywhere he goes. Wasn’t going to get that here.

    Eh!

Rhodes has said Bowyer will be in charge of recruitment so I don't get why that wouldn't be different for any other manager.

Difference between been in charge of recruitment and getting a whole new team in.

The debate was Evans would have kept us up, so he would have had the same players as Bowyer wouldn't he ?.

He's had very good backing at pretty much every club he's been at, his win ratio at most of his clubs is good yet his last three clubs couldn't wait to get rid of him.

Bowyer has failed at Bradford City so far. Results back that. He has been a major let down.

I do feel Evans was more the kind of manager we needed when Hopkin left but Bradford City are a weak club and it's no shock we're where find ourselves.

Bowyer long term might be a better fit but he needs results and fast now because massive pressure will be on him at the start of next season if we fail to get off to a good start.

I believe someone posted even though Evans brought 16 new players in during the last closed season he failed at Posh, so why would he have performed any better than Grayson, Hopkin and now Bowyer with this squad.

How did he fail? Posh were top half and in the top 6 at points.

Bowyer no win in 6 mate.

I'd suggest if you lose your position in football management you've failed.
Remember a certain Stuart McCalls bad spell and the outcome of that poor spell, and at the time we were in the top 6 ?.

So you admit Bowyer is failing for us at the minute?

    Concentrate on us.

Should have added a line, what I meant was for this season. He would have needed his own men in to keep us up

Yeah added that above. I meant he wouldn’t be able to sign players to turn it around.

lets get a a shouty manager so he can exercise my feeling that they need shouting at is what youre saying really lol. This group have proven over the course of the season that they are LOSERS!!!!! For someone who wants a winning mentality, not being able to see that we wont get anywhere until we shift the lot of em and no manager can be properly judged as such until we do or at least get rid of a fair few is astounding. NOBODY WANTS TO LOSE ALL THE TIME FORDY BUT WE'LL NEVER WIN ANYTHING EVER WITH A SHORT TERM MINDSET. I had to put that in caps because you won't get it otherwise. We could pump these guys full of steds and feckin nootropics for all the difference it would make they would still be outfought and out thought in every game.

Bottom line being, this season is a write off, Bowyers making the right noises about binning the lot of them asap to get actual big strong (mentally also) players who can actually play a bit and after all the shit we've been through that is fine by me for now. I'm not so blinkered to think that him losing games with a set of perennial losers is any real indication of his ability.

The more I see and hear from Bowyer, the more I like him.

He’s really trying to get to know all he can about the club. His distance for Darbs video another example of him trying to get closer to the fans.

I really hope he is as successful and here as long as Parky

He gets it and gets us. Its as simple as that. Not a puppet like Collins, not a primadonna like Grayson, not a Mr Angryhead like HopkinS, just a manager who understands what we are and what we expect. Footballs a results based business but i feel pretty confident with this guy at the helm of the ship.

After a torrid two years Bowyer has brought back the feel good factor back in no time.

I just hope we now translate it onto the pitch.

I can't tell you how happy I am we didn't make a desperation move by appointing a tosser like Evans.

We were going down no matter what, we simply didn't have a squad capable of playing a proper formation. It was an utter joke, last season, a total disaster.

Bowyer coming in was a smart move, as it gave him time to realise exactly what he needed to do - and he's a long termer (it's all about commanding respect), not like the fat, red controller.

Granted, if we're bottom ten by Christmas, Bowyer's probably gone, but I really don't see that. For the first time in a long while, I can honestly say this transfer window has INCREASED my expectations. Frankly, I'd have been happy with these signings in L1, never mind L2.
