    Doubt it could happen with the size of the club but speaking theoretically: If they're dumped from the football league would there be four teams promoted from L1 or just two teams relegated from The Championship?

    I honestly don't understand the anti-Bolton / anti-Parkinson attitude of some City supporters.

    The reason Phil Parkinson left us for Bolton is Edin Rahic, not Parkinson doing the dirty on us, or Bolton doing us over, quite simply Edin Rahic.

    When there were rumours of Parky leaving for Sheffield United. Were Rahic & Rupp around at that time? I know they seemed to be around a while before taking over.

    Who knows if Phil Parkinson is shown the door, and Gary Bowyer doesn't keep us up, who knows what could happen, he and Julian are very close, and he wouldn't need an interview :thumbup:, it is football when all is said and done.

    my respect for Parky actually went up when he left us. far from my attitude towards him being because he 'did the dirty' on us, or Bolton shafting us.
    I hated him when he was here too.

    He's not welcome to come 'home' at all. unless 'home' is Colchester, or Hull or someone. he can go ruin either of them clubs no problem.

    2 week extension allowed to find a buyer but the extension takes it past the end of March deadline so any point deduction from not finding a buyer will be applied next season

    The creates some interesting options for any prospective buyer:
    1) Avoid administration/liquidation, but face having to pay off debts which could exceed £50 million;
    2a) Let the Club go into Administration and pay off 100% of the 'football' debts, which are substantial, plus a percentage of other debts and face a points deduction of at least 12 points next season, with the risk of two successive relegations;
    2b) Let the Club go into Administration and fail to pay off the 'football' debts, with the likelihood that they would be demoted to the National League; or
    3) Let the Club be Liquidated and look to take on a debt free reformed Club, probably at Northern Premier League level (if lucky) or North West Counties League level (if unlucky).

    A lot will depend on the resources that the new owners have to invest.

    And all that assumes that there are some new owners.

    Bit like Rangers did? they were very lucky. Arguably though Rangers history was deleted and the new club does not have their title wins etc. Bolton's history will also disappear with the old club and they have won an awful lot albeit a long time ago
