    He doesn't make a valid point, the cost hasn't increased by 20%, and the quotes were never a couple of days apart.

    Stop filling this thread with garbage, please.

    The initial quote several weeks ago was £600 + VAT. The crowdfunding goal was £750.

    The new quote is £700 + VAT. The crowdfunding goal is now £850.

    If you feel you can negotiate a better deal, go ahead. The floor is yours.

    If you want to do what we're doing with Rahic, wait for the flyover to fail to materialise, the words to be spelled wrong, the letters to be numbers, followed by a defence of the whole affair by blaming the people that contributed for not making the banner attractive enough (and a subtle dig at the weather).

    That would be more like what we're doing with Rahic ;)

    On a more serious note, you are more than welcome to speak to Air Ads and find out the exact reasons for the increase in the cost - I can't speak for @Nick_W_@Nick_W_ , but when I heard the cost had increased, I didn't really feel the need to investigate more closely or interrogate anyone. But if you want to, you're more than welcome to listen to some excuse or other about petrol or the time of year or whatever else factors into it. I don't really care. The point is the banner, and the message. Nobody is paying us to find out, or even do this, and I resent the implication that we could pocket the money (@brisbanebantams@brisbanebantams).

    And like @king karl@king karl says, we each have a small amount of money invested. We don't need to act like CEO's protecting company bottom lines :)

    This thread is about the flyover protest, if you don’t agree with it fine, but can we just leave this thread for positive discussion and for those that are making a contribution, this constant carping from the sidelines is irritating to say the least. Plenty of other threads going on atm.

    Every man and his dog seems to know this is not going to work, but you don’t know. It could go nowhere, or it could be the start of something much bigger. We are not sops to just sit there and take this. We are a very proud football club with 115 years heritage and I for one will not just sit back and let our club be a vehicle to make money and leave us in a mess.

    I believe most will be happy to leave it to yourself to give the details ETC to the company, once you have a decision on what the banner says and if your happy to fund it until the Just Giving funds are releast I can't see a problem @JonButterfield@JonButterfield.

    It will be Rahic. Emails, Skye/FaceTime, WhatsApp, it can be done. However, the one thing that can’t be done online is ‘bottle’ facing up to mess you have personally caused in conjunction with our absent silent owner.

    It’s called leadership. It isn’t about being visible when we are in the top six, going to Wembley, celebrating with the fans and players at Fleetwood. The good leaders are to be found standing front and square in front of the fans and saying I was wrong and I didn’t listen to the various managers and others who warned me, I ignored them because I thought my plan would work on a shoestring budget.

    The good leaders set about rectifying the mess as soon as possible. They most certainly don’t whinge about the condemnation from fans, because the fans have a right to be angry and upset about what has happened. The straighten their back and put it right. Of another thing good leaders do they don’t seek to take it out on fans because they have protested about what is happening.

    Are our owners prepared to do that?

    This isn't a protest about the players or the manager, so while the on-pitch turn-around would be welcome, the levels of incompetence displayed over the last 10 months won't suddenly be tolerable.

    For £750 getting "the Ego" out would be a massive acheivment and very good value, Stefan then has a decision to make employ a CEO with previous or put the club up for sale.
    Then again they could just ignore the fans, or offer an Olive branch and another were learning statement.
