In isolation, it's fine and you can take pride in it. After last season, a bit of dogedness and shithousery is much needed.

But I sincerely hope hes critiquing where we were poor and doing something about it. We cant aim to perform like that - it's what you're left with having to do when your performance with the ball is so poor.

 

Most of us know the area where we need to improve, but i will add that currently being up to second should create a buzz for any player Bowyer is currently targeting.

We'd have lost that 1-3 last year.

 

Thinking about it, the win has sprinkled glitter on another scrappy performance. Stevanage were a team with no goals and no wins coming into this game, and we still let them dominate us. If we play like that against a half decent side, we're going to get spanked.
Midfielder coming in an absolute must. We can't sit back on our laurels just because we're in second place. I really hope someone is relaying all this back to Rupp, and he's not just smiling smuggly infront of his teletext each time we play.

We wouldn’t have got the 1 regardless of it been an OG as we’d have been 2 or 3 down by that point and our heads would be shot.

 

I’m pretty clear and confident that our manager, Bowyer understands what’s still to be done to strengthen the team, I’m sure he has to juggle with what he’s got. He’s got very few competent subs, rotation is not possible. Two games so close together and win both is a miracle. We should recognise as supporters just what a ‘special manager’ we have.

 

Knowing our luck last year, that OG would have been ruled offside!

We clearly need a left winger and a CM or two.

Centre halfs, Wood and keeper all very good. Front two will win us games. First time in a long time I’ve not wanted rid of O’Connor.

If we can continue to not concede many then we will score goals with those two up top.

In addition, I think there’s a player in Devine. He had a good first 20 and last 20 but went missing in the middle.
