It’s decent value but even with you booking early and using rail cards it’s still cheaper in the car.

Akpan is finished.

He is the boxer who got KO'ed (relegated) three times in a row, lost every round for as long as he can remember.

If he had any attributes, they're gone now. He can't even use his physique to win a physical challenge, despite the immensity of his frame. He crumples under the weight of pressure, and doesn't dare exert himself because he's so used to failing.

Unfortunately, Devine is now a much better player than Hope Akpan, and it's unlikely anything will change that. Akpan is fit only for retirement.

 

He's had one good game in 33 appearances. That's Kai Bruenker levels of bad but without the effort.

 

It was. Unlucky. Was right in the corner.

 

Good block from BRE there. He's settled well. Looks strong.

 

Joys of L2

 

If we had a midfield who could control the game and tackle wed walk this league, the rest of the side looks set. Need to get the ball to scannell more though.

 

Vaughan and Donaldson using their experience to win a lot of free kicks. Devine started nicely, but now has gone quiet. Scannell doesn't look like he's up for this one at all. Akpan already looks like his laziness is going to cost us possession in midfield. OC and Everton looking pretty solid at the back. Some great balls in by Wood - I think Vauhan would have scored if Soares hadn't got to him before it. Too much long ball perhaps, but that could be because we don't seem to keep the ball in midfield. Taylor for them is full of tricks like he was for us, and I can see him in the second half looking to get some shots away. We need an enforcer in the middle, which Palmer and Devine just aren't.
Second half we need to get Scannell into the game.Vaughan looks dangerous everytime he gets into their box. If Scannell isn't up to it, then give it to Wood.
Massive controversial comment, but I think bringing on Patrick with 20 off mins to go, would work. Their defence look a bit flat footed, and with his pace and err..unpredictability, he could actually do something!

Astonishing after last season! Well played Bowyer, the defence was the critical issue!

 

Wood, O'Donnell & the centre backs were excellent. Palmer & Devine were decent too.

 

First time I've watched us this season and it is pretty much there for all the see where we need strengthening. No wonder you lot have been banging on about it so much.

Our midfield is useless.

Luckily our defence and attack (Vaughan and Donaldson look very good) look good.

 

Enjoyed watching Vaughan and Donaldson talking to each other and showing each other how they're trying to play. Such obvious experience.

Akpan looked he'd just come off the beach. At least a stone overweight and knackered after 5 mins.

 

Didn’t go but watched online (first I’ve seen this season).

We clearly need a left winger and a CM or two.

Centre halfs, Wood and keeper all very good. Front two will win us games. First time in a long time I’ve not wanted rid of O’Connor.

If we can continue to not concede many then we will score goals with those two up top.

In addition, I think there’s a player in Devine. He had a good first 20 and last 20 but went missing in the middle.

 

Get him a bottle of buttercup syrup and a packet of fishermen's friends and he'll be reet.

 

Kyel Reid scored a cracking free kick last time at Stevenage. It was a draw though. 1 nil to us would be fine by me.

 

I think he was just knackered. He was asked to drop back in the second half to help out. 10/10 for doing that but think it took it out of him.
