Two things:

That implies we don't have the right coaching staff in terms of quality or quantity, and two, suggests the owners won't be considering the next potential candidates.

They absolutely should be looking at the next possible manager, albeit quietly, and we absolutely should have a better stocked coaching team particularly when our flaws are almost all a direct result of coaching.

 

That's a long time in Bowyer years. Will feel like a decade getting to May with him. I agree with @JonButterfield The feelers should be out there so they are prepared when they pull the trigger. He shouldn't get past the Summer no matter what division we are in. We need to be prepared for once and ahead of the game instead of playing catch up like every summer.

They're the worst home team in the league and are terribly out of form so yes it would be a bad result in my opinion. Gotta be going to these places and winning if we’re serious about the autos.

This isnt about formations though. Players often get off easy and elements of our defeat today were about basic individual errors and a lack of application to match the work rate of Mansfield. This is much deeper though. It's been patently obvious for weeks, that this team isnt being coached into a cohesive unit. He constantly changes formation and team selections - most of which are baffling. There's no evidence at all that we know what we're trying to do with the ball, which is why we're regularly seeing fewer shots on goal than our opponent and often little to no shots on target. The most prolific striker in europe hasnt had a chance in 4 games.

If the system and coaching style of the manager is consistently inhibiting the players, it leads to a lack of engagement and desire, which is what we're seeing. That's why I lay the blame squarely at Bowyers door. Every player is regressing in performance and confidence. The collective performance of the team is going backwards and looking more and more disjointed. The players look lost and confused.

The manager has to go. Simple as that.

 

It's hard to win games away from home. The opposition try really hard and everything.

It's alright Bowyer saying well we were shit and got out-battled bla bla. Us fans can see that, anyone can see that. The difference he's supposed to have the knowledge and experience to stop this stuff from happening in the first place, and if he's failed at that he's supposed to know how to fix it during the game. Instead he put an extra defender on 2-0 down and they still scored, and we still didn't have a shot on target.

He says Connolly should have scored and yeah he should have. But the thing is these chances go amiss for other teams as well. All these teams that win don't score EVERY chance. The difference is that they have 6-7 chances on target per game. We have had 9 over 6 games.
