Playing 4-4-2 DOESN’T mean you have to play 2 winger, even if @JonButterfield@JonButterfield tries to convince us otherwise. Woods can play on the left and would strengthen us defensively down that flank if Bowyer is going to insist on playing a right-back at left-back. Has proved he has a good cross on him too

    But you’re ignoring the facts..?

    1. Our midfield is weak as piss
    2. Bowyer has signed 4 of those midfielders

    1. Our midfield is weak as piss
    2. You want to add another midfielder to the team who can't get in ahead of the weak as piss midfielders ahead of him

Apart from trying desperately to ridicule me, you’ve not added one iota of logical evidence why Woods cannot play left midfield to give us a balance? Just as McMahon did under PP.

Try adding reasonable debate instead of trying to be a smart arse....!!

You understand Donaldson's most successful football has been played on the left side of a front three?

What's your logic, ignore all evidence and just assume he has to be played as a central target man because he's tall?

Wouldn't be a surprised, though, coming from a poster that also feels Doyle simply needs to be face the goal in order to be successful

Is reasonable debate using poop and monkey emojis, then talking about how people won't engage in reasonable debate?

Did you call me a smart arse despite the fact you've used two poop emojis and a monkey emoji in your last six or seven rapid-fire posts?

I'm the one using words in this debate, you're using pictograms then trying to act like everyone's out to get you - as usual for you.

He isn’t THAT tall, but he is a targetman because he DOES do his best work with back to goal.

“Ignore all evidence”? You haven’t provided any other than YOUR claim that his most successful football has been played on the left side of a front three?

There are legitimately two types of forward for you, aren't there? "Back to goal" and "facing the goal".

I'm guessing anyone over 6'1 is back to goal and anyone under is facing the goal, right?

Not at all. You were writing sh1t which I’m not allowed to type so I used the emoji to show this. I have then backed up that view with reasons why I think it was sh1t.

As for the face covering emoji (the relevance to it being a monkey is non-existent), it was a stupid statement from Park but not unexpected

Oh that would have been way more constructive, writing a swear word because you don't agree with a point.

Is that really a defence for posting silly emojis without any reasons in that same post?

I'd genuinely expect that from a 12 year old.

Then your reasons are that we could play Connor Wood, a very poor player who will struggle to ever again find another league club, OUT OF POSITION?

    That's your 'reasonable debate'?

The way you debate, I could insist we play Richard O'Donnell on the left wing and you couldn't possibly give me a comprehensive reason why not - but then, it's irrelevant waffle, because you're only annoyed that I shot down a couple of your posts a couple of weeks ago, and now we're forum 'enemies' in your head.

    Or something.

    This isn't hard.

He played left wing at York, and then again at Birmingham City when he was the Blues' top scorer.

    https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/birmingham-city-clayton-donaldsons-thoughts-11518983

"But I have played on the left plenty of times and I always enjoy it because strikers are always getting battered and from there you can sneak in unopposed - or not getting rag-dolled about as much.

"I have always manged to score a few goals from there as well.

    "I always liked that position."

Actually knowing something about the players you're talking about helps if you're trying to make a salient point, of course.

    Yet more nonsense.

Woods played on the left of midfield during pre-season and whilst he would never skin a player, did put in several good crosses. He has proven his better games were when playing on an advanced role and his manager, who you claim to rate, has even said that he has a role to play.

The fact is, you said we can’t play 4-4-2 because we don’t have 2 wingers. I pointed out that you don’t need 2 to be able to play the formation. You’re the one getting upset over being called out for it.

Look, we disagree. You’re getting petulant and trying to cause an argument that isn’t there. It has nothing to do with something that happened weeks ago. I disagree that we should stick to a failing 4-3-3 and should go back to playing 4-4-2. We used both formations in ore-season. We beat Guiseley 2-0 using 4-3-3 but lost all other games, whereas we played 4-4-2 once, drawing 1-1 against Wigan.

    I’ll leave it there

Your opinion of your own opinion is amazing.

If only you had 5 % of the debating skills you think you have, given you forget how you behave from one post to the next.

    Guy: Posts poop emoji

    (gets response)

Guy: WHY CAN'T YOU ADD REASONABLE DEBATE?

He says he has played there plenty of times and has given examples of when it worked and when not. He certainly doesn’t claim, as you have that “his most successful football has been played on the left side of a front three”.

And as for him playing there at York, so what? Hanson played there for Guiseley but I wouldn’t suggest he plays his best football there.....!

As I said, I’m going to leave it there

Yes, I see that you failed to leave it there - no surprise.

So, in the face of actual evidence that Clayton Donaldson has played his best football from the left wing, including comments about why he likes the position, you decide that it isn't QUITE conclusive that Donaldson believes it's his bestest ever position - which is irrelevant to the fact that he can certainly do a job there for us.

One of your reasons is he played there in LEAGUE TWO for lowly York - we're also in League Two, so that's a fun fact for you.

And again, this 'reasonable debate' that you want so bad - what's your evidence for the fact he couldn't play left of a front three for us again? I'm simply not seeing your evidence that he would be poor in that position.
