There is a mentality amongst a certain section of our supporters that going to away games is the rightful preserve of the young, requiring the desire and ability to stand up throughout the match. If you can't do so, due to age, disability etc, or choose not to, then you should stay away from away games altogether and stop getting in the way of the young ultras who can.
We've had people on here and on C&B suggesting that away games have become no fun because too many older non-standers are spoiling the fun of the youth.
I've nothing against those who choose to stand at the back and lead the singing. Good on 'em. But there seems to be a growing number of entitled younger fans who appear to believe that away games are a vehicle for them to do what the hell they like and sod everyone else

 

Lessons from today:
Playing a right back at left back seriously hampers our ability to create anything down the left.
The defence looks fairly decent.
Doyle is a total waste of space playing the no.10 role - control, passing and vision all terrible.
We badly need a midfield enforcer, to allow Palmer and/or Gibson to be creative further forward.
Gibson can hit a mean cross.
We look far better with Scannel wide right. Ditch the 433 unless and until we get some midfield reinforcements please Gary.

The more you look at it the worse it gets. You've got to go with Vaughan and Donaldson and Scannell is on too much of a wedge not to play but how you configure the midfield to make it work goodness only knows. 4-4-2 sounds archaic but seems the most simplistic. And simple is good in the khazi league.

I know its radical, but we should sign a couple of decent midfielders to play in midfield.

 

We haven't played a game yet this season and the unreserved seating debate is already in full swing. Fantastic scenes.

 

Funniest thing about unreserved seating is when all the singers stand together at the back and you always get one nugget who sits right in the middle of them because its where his ticket seat number is. They're easy to spot, sat down arms folded with a face like a slapped arse while all around them are stood up having a laugh.

He tried the formation with DVD in the behind closed doors friendly against Bolton and again at Rochdale. Because Bowyer believed it was a success, he continued working on it in training. I wasn’t surprised he started with it again on Saturday. Once a coach gets it into their head that they have seen enough to be happy with, they tend to persevere. In my opinion it was always the wrong choice.

But the biggest issue I had is that he refused to change it until the last 10 or so mins

i must have missed those 20+ chances, partly diue to falling asleep. A couple of half chances from what i remember and Vaughan hitting the bar. Theres a difference in the stats between 20+ shots and 20+ chances.

 

If he is going to get such a nickname lets at least do him the courtesy of spelling his name right!
