We really are painful to watch, when will we get a decent team again, its embarassing, you see a half decent team on the telly and realise we are a million miles away from walking any league and have a poor squad that is simply bang average for the league we are in.

Same old same old not even donaldson and Vaughan can paper over the cracks.

you know, I haven't really watched much L2 stuff, so I didn't know what to expect. The sad thing is, that after having watched two games of it, I realise that it's pretty much the same standard that we play. At times, the oppo look even more fluid than we do. I didn't expect us to walk it this season, but I was certainly hoping that our higher league experience would stand us with at least some hope of being better than the teams we are playing.

 

Why should you?

 

No they prefer not to go way over the top after two performances.

 

As a newish fan all I can say is that after 2 games you are doing an @Fordy117 . Its a marathon not a sprint.

 

Well not really. I watched us fail miserably to take control of games and win them last season, and seems it's the same this season. Considering this is the bottom league in English football, I'd prefer us to look at it as the final 400m of a marathon, rather than the first mile trying to work out what pace will win it.

 

Well I haven’t pressed the panic button yet! We just have to be patient and see if we can sign a couple of decent midfielders, and a left winger, and another striker. If not we will struggle to gain promotion, and if we are lucky scramble a mid table slot.

Settling a team down takes time, and our team has been unsettled for three seasons now, and tbh I am fed up of changing the team every season.

 

I haven't written anything off either. All I'm saying is, that if we want to be in the mix, then we've got to be playing a lot better than we currently are. Definitely need some new additions. 433 doesnt work. Tell that to Rupp. Tell him we need a winger and a midfielder.
As mentioned earlier, Bowyers record is not exactly great (15% win rate atm), so I think he needs to pick his game up also.

Completely agree here onside, I have seen a lot of moaning on many threads demanding why we haven't smashed the league.

I do look at bowyers comments regarding the grimsby draw and what people have said on here. The jist of what boywer says is that it was a deserved point. Also the fact he decides to stick with his 4-3-3. Why? Genuinely I believe he is trying to get some more players and he knows it doesn't quite work yet.

Give the man some time... Bury last season didnt do very well in their first five games.. Norwich didnt either... There still 132 points left up for grabs and I think come Christmas this squad will look far better.

 

A feckin targetman shipped out to the left, just to accommodate a lousy 4-3-3 formation? Give your head a shake....!

 

Completely ignoring the 2 super saves made by O’Donnell? Wonder if you’d have “forgotten” about them had Hornby made them...????
