What are you actually looking for? We're in League 2. Have a look at the state of the other squads. On paper our squad is better than Cambridge and Grimsby. It's been obvious to all of us that 4-3-3 isn't working. You can't just keep signing players. Our sqqud is massive.

 

You need an academy graduate in the squad don’t you? The only other option is GSK and I’d rather have Hornby pushing OD (who was excellent today).

But we need 2 midfielders and a left winger.

Right now, we’re mid table fodder.

What I take from this is ...we didnt loose ! and sounds like GB's persistance with the line up has frustrated some ?. But despite that we did not loose !...very Parky that.

 

You only need a home grown player if you want to name 7 subs. Seems strange to offer a contract to a player, just so we can name 7 subs, why do we need 7 subs anyhow?

 

For sure ......... The squad MAY well be massive - BUT it still lacks quality, and is crap !.

If the squad isn’t good enough, you’re happy for us to go down again, so long as we don’t sign any more players? Fact is, regardless of the squad size, it isn’t good enough and we need 2-3 more players if we want to have any joy this season

 

Time for GB to stop spinning plates and serve up a recipe for dominating our opponents. Early days may be, but no signs of progress in the engine room and no cataclysmic intent to beef things up for the challenge out wide. Not keen on make do and mend and I'D hope that if needed, JR would be in SR's ear.

 

OD: doing ok. Some great saves today. Another keeper to add to the long line of keepers we've had that scare me when they come for crosses.
Back four: not bad, but always looks like there is a f#ck up ready to happen. Henley not dominant enough.
Midfield: Gibson coming out if it ok. Needs to concentrate on the simple stuff. Palmer is the new Nicky Law.
Number 10: Doyle. Pointless, pointless role he has been given. No one is gonna buy him on the back of the last two performances.
Forwards: Will start to click more as they get more games. There was evidence of understanding today. Can't help thinking that the more games we draw/lose, the more frustrated Vaughan will get. He's a red card for a late challenge or dissent waiting to happen. Donaldson is playing the target man role nicely. Doyle is not needed.
Bench: Scannell will also start to get pi55ed off if he's only given 20 mins because Doyle is on the pitch. Again no other striker available. What happens if that bang on the Vaughan's head was a serious one and Doyle has already been subbed?
Bowyer: Needs to admit his first two games have been tactically wrong. Needs to have a word with the Board. There used to be talk about Stuart playing a certain formation to try and show Rupp how much we need certain players. On the back of these two games, I don't think Bowyer needs to show any more.

 

You do know 46draws will see us relegated. Drawing games isn’t a positive, no matter how much spin you want to put on it

 

In this league, as 4th or 5th choice, and with that rule in mind I think it makes sense. But offering Colville and Anderson deals too, doesn’t.

Devine isn’t a big problem either way. I’m more worried by Andersonbeing in the team.
