    Not convinced at all, but it is what it is. Ultimately, our transfer business will speak for itself. For a side badly lacking in pace, creativity and goals, our answer so far has been to sign Billy Clarke and release James Vaughan.

    Not exactly inspiring stuff.

    What's going to happen this week then? We've not released player numbers, or named the captain as of yet and the first game is on Saturday. Added to that there's still no right back, striker and any extra signings. My prediction is Stuart will test the water and see what happens against Bolton Saturday. To which we will lose by 2 clear goals and have a knee jerk reaction and sign someone hopefully next week. Unfortunately this is City being reactive and not proactive as usual.

    Well I was hoping more Danny Rose or this secretive 'higher league' striker might come in. It's just a bit comical that things as well as transfers haven't been sorted yet and we're only a few days away from the first competitive game. All I can't think is we're not bothered now about cup competitions due to no money going towards the salary cap. Therefore it's let's have a look how we do Saturday and then rush something in next week before the first game of the season.

    Anyone know how the season ticket sales are doing? The cynic in me thinks Rhodes/Rupp will be seeing where we are come Friday and giving the go ahead for more signings.

    Posh announced 4 players up for transfer today not sure if any good for us but it shows teams are finalising squads and potentially making players available.
    George Boyd, George Cooper, Louis Reed and Jason Naismith have all been told to find new clubs as they won’t be included in the first-team squad this season.

    Posh are slightly ahead of the game as usual. Making excess players available is inevitable within a salary cap regime and I think there'll be more of this.

    ps Jason Naismith played right back at Posh for anybody looking for one!

    Naah! There's plenty of time left before the transfer window closes. To summarise JR's strategy, leave it a few more weeks and they'll all be as cheap as chips.

    Was just thinking about squad numbers and lack of announcement today. Is there a deadline? Presumably before Saturday. Very weird pre season is this one, understandably so, but it just seems as if we’re strolling into the season instead of all guns blazing.

    Then we're taking a risk that the person hasn't had any team work/drills with the other defenders and may take time to gel. Just my opinion tho.
