We have 19 players plus the 4 that have come up from the youth team.

The trouble is we will never have a long term plan as long as we have an owner who isn't interested in us and no doubt wishes he'd never got involved. He wants to sell but no one wants to buy so he either bails out leaving us in administration or he carries on spending as little as possible until one day someone takes us off his hands. At the moment it's the latter.

Yes we have players, but do we have a team capable of challenging the top end of the table? I'd say no at this moment in time, wouldn't you?

He bought in at a silly price, admittedly he naively had the wool pulled over his eyes by the other one.
He’s not going to sell at a silly price, and without genuine investment he’s not going to. With the new restrictions he’s missed that boat - so needs to get real with expectations.
If he’s going to have to keep bailing us out, then it’d be more realistic to either significantly drop any asking price or even write of losses and give the club away.

Can you filter them down to players who live within a five mile radius of Bradford? Seems that's a deciding factor in transfers these days.

Or players that are willing to move within 5 miles of Bradford. That should narrow the potentials down by about 95%.

Top 10 as it stands IMO, but if we sign a RB, CM and ST then top 6.

Agree. It seems as though the plan following his departure, has been to try and arrest the decline. So reactive, rather than proactive. I seem to recall @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler said it would take a considerable time to contain the damage done.
Theory and practice are often poles apart, when it comes to implementation.
I think that other components such as openness, trust, delegation, empowerment, analytical thinking, review/amend, critical self appraisal, balance, proportionate objectives and resources/funds; need to be in place.

Which is precisely the point Bantamshell was making I believe. At the moment, we don't have a team capable of achieving a top 6 finish, which should be the bare minimum in terms of expectations this season.

Pretty much the ingredients of a long term business plan, which is what long term success in any business has to have. The fundamental aims are always the same, success on the field which in turn fuels increased turnover, hopefully year on year. All the things you mention require an infrastructure on directorship, management and facilities. The more you invest in these sectors in the short term will give you a better chance of success in the long term. There are always exceptions to the rule, but ultimately they are short term and and get found out in the long term, usually returning to their natural level.
Which is where Bradford City finds itself now. If it wants to succeed at anything long term it needs an owner and CEO who are fully committed to the cause. Something which i personally question at this time.

She said “we’ve barely got a team” which is factually inaccurate. That’s all I was pointing out.

People are interested in buying, but not at Mr Rupp's asking price and once all this covid madness is over , with the salary cap , he wll be able to draw more in dividends, as i can not see him re-investing the spare cash in the club and his asking price will go up if we start to turn a nice profit annually.

The salary cap is a blessing in disguise for Rupp, we will be one of the clubs who will be self sufficient even if spending upto the cap limit due to what we turnover. Couple that with the windfall from the McBurnie sale and i don't think Rupp is under any immediate pressure to sell.

In an ideal world yes. But if a business increases its profits at the same time as reducing it's outgoings , then it's value will increase. It will all depend on how much Mr Rupp wants out , if at all. We have never actually heard from the horses mouth. in depth, on anything concerning the club since he bought it.

Do we know his asking price? Do we know there are people interested, and that his asking price is putting them off? Genuinely interested to know, not just questioning the statement. I can't recall reading/hearing a anything from Rupp saying that the club is up for sale if there are serious offers on the table.

All I've ever heard is that when there has been interest from other parties, Rupp has shot them down because they are not prepared to meet his asking price. How true that is however is anyone's guess.
