Yes i do. A client of mine has connections with the club . He told me that the club had been approached, but the asking price was stupid. Approx £10 million, this was whilst we were still in league one, you would think his valuation might have dropped since.

Previous talks was of a consortium of old heads wasn’t it? Headed by baldwin? Which will have obviously changed now with his new job?

They will have probably wanted it on the cheap when the rahic saga took hold

I suppose everything has its price. I take that as “I don’t particularly want to sell, but if you’re seriously considering buying me out, let’s call it £10m”.

Rupp paid around £5m for the club didn't he?
If he's turning down offers then he's clearly in no rush to sell contrary to number of posters on here.

Any offer in the region of £5m would be snapped up before you could say 'Edin Rahic'

I'm not questioning what you have been told Andy but I find that incredible to believe. If we assume Rupp isn't an idiot (apart from being taken in by Rahic), why on earth would he ask £10m, unless he doesn't want to sell!

Id heard from a couple of sources his valuation was very high for something that effectively has little in terms of tangible assets. If he gets to a point where he wants to sell then the price would fall accordingly. Parties are interested but the valuations are miles apart, especially now in league 2. All immaterial unless he decides to sell on.

I don't have any kind of problem with Rupp staying on.

Let's be honest, he bought the club thinking he had someone at the helm who knew his onions - obviously Rahic was a day dreamer with nothing like the knowledge he thought he had - the club went backwards, and Rupp no longer had any contacts with the ability to run a football club or the knowledge of the English game, much less Bradford City in particular.

Rupp reached out to Rhodes, who ticked all those boxes, but that doesn't mean Rhodes is in for the long term. Rhodes brought in Stuart, and we basically went full circle, back to employees who really knew the club inside out. Not a bad turn of events when you consider how lost Rupp must have felt being in sole charge of the club.

As long as the next steps are more ambitious - Stuart moving up to DoF when the time is right, a NEW manager in place, a NEW CEO/replacement for Rhodes, things could well look up.

Rupp has consolidated his position at the club by surrounding himself with steady Eddy's. What's important is what happens next. That's why I'm not writing him off.

People think that that the grass is greener on the other side. Experience shows it seldom is

Depends where in Cheshire. If he is in Wilmslow then Bradford would be closer, if he was in Crewe, then Mansfield would be closer.

This was posted earlier - looks like he lives in Stoke, not Cheshire

Fair points. Not a material difference either way though, is it? Bottom line, he chose elsewhere.

This £10m crops up periodically on here. I have seen no evidence that Stefan is asking that much, only a suggestion that it would cost someone around that amount to both buy the club and invest in it, as per @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler's post in November last year. Something in the region of £5m still seems to be a reasonable estimate to buy the club off Stefan:

Yeah but it explains a lot. If you're "thinking" of selling your house if the right offer comes in, then it's very unlikely you're going to build a new conservatory or invest in some new carpets. It’s short term thinking. Let’s face it, he’s not going to be investing any money if his mindset is with view to selling.

It might increase the value to the current asking price.
