If nobody brought in this week there's something seriously wrong at the club.

Cannot see us signing anyone now with the news yesterday that fans not allowed back in ground next month, nor likely to be for at least 6 months.

Go with what we have got now and re-assess at next window, is it still January this season?

Today's article in T&A is preparing us for that

They’ve already got 9k+ worth of season ticket money. How much are they expecting to make on the kiosks? Surely we’ve enough left over for a right back!

I was wondering if that could be the case but in reality it can’t be because we were supposedly looking at young loans anyway most of whoms wages would have been peanuts and some were reportedly even being offered out for free given the current climate.

I think yesterday's news means players will have to lower their wage demands even further if they're free agents.

Wouldn't know tbh but I know when he signed for Burnley it was for similar reasons. Obviously he has moved down south since so either he has a new partner or he now wears the trousers.

I had mentioned earlier that with lower income and continuing ground lease and overheads to be met, focus might be moving to survival mode first and foremost. Prudent housekeeping will play a vital role in coming weeks, whatever the generosity of our benefactor.

Someone mentioned RB Jayden Richardson from Forest a while back. Well he's been loaned out to FGR.

I can fully understand if any plans for signings (if they ever did exist!) are shelved. With new covid cases spiraling, disruption to the season looks inevitable and income for all clubs is already savagely reduced. In such a situation we need to batten down the hatches.

I have to admit to not fully understanding what Sparks is saying. If the club's primary concern is that we'll only lose £500k (that's only 10% of our total income in normal times) this season by keeping the gates shut, I'd say we've got off lightly. Alternatively, the real situation may well be that Sparks has not yet grasped the full impact of recent announcements on lower league football.

Interesting what Ryan Sparks said about the ifollow money. City get 100%...£8.34..... for every pass sold for home matches and the same amount for every pass after the first 500 for away matches. So from the FGR game we got £5-6k. If we get similar from all away matches that pays the salaries for a couple of decent players, unless its already allocated. I don't know what percentage we used to receive for away ticket sales

Was just listening to Ryan Sparks on West Yorkshire sport, he did mention that work in the transfer window "remains ongoing despite all of this".

I think you can rule out David Wheater or any permanent signings, but I still think we'll bring a few young players in on loan.
