all well and good if we are creating chances but we ain’t so if we ain’t creating anything he’s not gonna offer much is he ???? If we do go long does he hold the ball up for others ????? It’s supposed to be a squad game so why not use it when folk are out of form ...........Oliver was brought in to be one of our main strikers so why not give him a go ????

doesn’t matter though he’s got 12goals though and he should play every games based on that basis

Cook does have a great goal scoring record this season, i mean 9 goals in 12 appearances is great. However stick an average defender on him and we’re pretty much down to 10 men, always seems to be sulking and never helps the rest off the team.

He’s scored a few flukey goals and we call
him League 2 Haaland, he is not the striker we can rely on to get us out of this league.

Drop him and give Oliver a chance

If he’s up against teams that have a go he will be fine but sadly the majority don’t and our pissing around with the ball at the back doesn’t help him ............... I put you money the majority of his goals have come against teams that have had a go at us ........... you look at the sides that have set up with a solid block and he’s struggled against them :( if he does continue to play Cook then he’s gonna have to adjust the way we play because I doubt Cook will be happy if games passing him by because we ain’t creating nothing for him

A few flukey goals?, give it a rest.

Cook was not the problem yesterday, it was the supply line, or lack of it. How many did Oliver score yesterday?

So if we ain't creating anything for our main striker then, I know this may sound revolutionary, maybe it's upto the players around him who are paid to create the chances for him to do their jobs? I'm all for Oliver to get a chance, that's what we've bought him for, but not at the expense of a striker who has pretty much scored every chance created for him this season. I'd rather out manager work out how to use the team to keep getting goals out of our in form striker.

100 % Andy Cook is not the problem.

We played with 10 men for the first half yesterday due to Pereira’s complete lack of any attempt to get involved in the game.He should be the player supplying Cook with chances.

We haven’t got a midfielder (not winger) who can do what Sarcevic did yesterday and surge forward from the half way line, resulting in the penalty.
There’s no way Smallwood,Gillead or Chapman are going to consistently get beyond the strikers.

Cook can get frustrated and spit his dummy out but he’s a big boy.Give some back.
I suspect he’s more frustrated with the amount of time our defenders piss about passing it sideways and our laboured approach at getting the ball forward.

Give him some decent service and he’ll score goals but we need the other 9 outfield players to do a lot more than they have done recently to help him out.

Oliver won’t get a chance though if Hughes keeps with Cook not being funny but that’s hardly gonna create a good attmosphere in the squad if players out of form are still getting picked and that’s massively aimed at DP .......... got a feeling that Hughes will continue this way and Cook becomes a passenger ........... btw players will create chances if they are allowed to go forward rather than passing it back time after time when there clearly is the chance to go forward ............. maybe our attacking players ain’t moving into space because they know there is little chance of receiving it ......... Salford away is a big test in more way than one because a few more performances like yesterday could turn the attmosphere:(

Players don’t get me wrong are part of the problem but to me they are being told to arse about with it at the back .........and that’s down to Hughes he must realise that the results have been a tad fortunate and now is the time to do something about it before it become to late

As I say selective to suite your agenda, you fail to reply to my Sam Hoskins example who gone 4 games since his last goal, goal scorers have bad runs and as my example you either play them through it or bring someone in you believe will do better, and the only other option has been Oliver who has not shown to be that player, lets hope he does but its a poor argument your offering because the league second leading scorer has only score once in three games is a disaster and needs dropping.
Cook a "fox in the box" you're having a laugh, one minute your criticising him for not scoring enough goals then say "he’s a fox in the box but we simply ain’t using him" so exactly who's fault is it he's only scored the once in the last 3 games if were not using him right, the players who supply the chances?.
You said it all in one of your earlier posts you nearly stopped in the pub if your idea of winning games of football is to drop your leading goal scorer maybe the pub is the better option.

You say we are creating f**k all yet you call Cook out for not scoring, what a strange comment

we ain’t creating anything then you go for another dimension you know crosses into the box or a few long balls that bring others into play up the other end of the field ........... can Cook go up against centre backs if we play that way ????? Clearly not based on the last few games ..........Oliver can ............Cooks ok when teams come out against us and the majority don’t so there lies a problem .......... so unless we are gonna be more on the front foot or play him alongside Oliver then he’s gonna struggle ........... or just maybe he needs a rest because let’s face it he’s been used a hell of a lot already

without seeing Hoskins play then I cannot judge what he’s doing maybe he’s keeping his place because he’s doing other things other than scoring ........... he had 3 shots on goal yesterday so he’s still being involved .......... how many did Cook have yesterday ????

Btw I know strikers go through bad patches of not scoring but if they are bringing other things to the games you know winning headers ........ occupying defenders or creating chances then I’m fine with it but is Cook doing any of the above ?????

Only the one full game because in Hughes opinion Oliver didn't look like he was the answer to our goal scoring hence why he was on the bench.

Cook is not the issue, Walker , Banks , Osadibie missing Pierra completely out of form , Chapman is not a no 10 and Wright was quite yesterday. No creativity added to a defence and midfield well below par.
On a side note, the penalty , seen it a few times and i think it is not a penalty , just a good shoulder charge from Timi,
Two very similar challenges in the Arsenal Liverpool game , one inside the area , one out , neither awarded as fouls , both worse than yesterdays. challenge. We deserved nothing yesterday , but the standard of officials is a disgrace.

One minute your say we don't create chances then ask how many chances Cook had yesterday, if Cook could create his own chances put then away he wouldn't be playing League Two football.

Oliver got a fair few goals in a team in a higher division and if Hughes doesn’t rate him then seriously why sign him ?????

Oliver would not have scored yesterday if you had exchanged him for Cook . The team lacked creativity to a man.
Other than Chapman's two first half efforts , we did not trouble their goalkeeper.
