I would be inclined to agree with letting Rowe lead the front line due Callum Cooke's form.

However, the majority of Rowe's chances/efforts have come from range - I think everyone is impressed by his long range shooting, and there's an argument that should be the focus of his game. But actually, if that means dislodging Callum Cooke from the advanced attacking midfield role, then maybe not - yet. Cooke has been inconsistent this season, but for now that spot is his.

Rowe is not what I'd call dynamic, but that's because personally 'dynamic' is more of an athletic quality - unpredictable, though, I'll give him that. He creates opportunities from very little space and with real danger. He creates chances where most other players can't/don't. But that's another reason not to assume he has to play up front in a solo centre forward role. Perhaps that would limit him.

I can't help but think Novak should play up top, Rowe in behind him, and it would appear that thinking has been doubled down on by the coaching staff with the signing of Cook.

For me, I've seen nothing to suggest that Novak is not the best striker/advanced forward in our side. His finishing has been excellent at times, particularly with his bonce.

I think you've misread my post. We're talking about Billy Clarke.

I can’t see Rowe and Cook playing at the same time.

Yes i did misread your post. Cooke had a decent last game but this season hes been our most creative source with limited options to create for.

I don't see any reason to change a winning formula. Cook can be a solid addition to the squad and come on if necessary during the game or if they think he's a better option for the opposition.

Can't believe people are suggesting Clarke is dropped, I see him as a key part of our current good form. Cooke really hit his stride on Tuesday too so would be harsh to drop him after that.

It's good to be having these discussions, shows the strength of the squad. So impressed with this window!

    I'm still lost.

I mentioned Billy Clarke, you replied with a post about Andy Cook and now you're talking about Callum Cooke.

Never mind, I agreed with your points on both Cook(e)s anyway.

Is he a key part in your opinion simply from being part of the team during the good run though? Because apart from his goals/assist ratio being poor from an attacking player I honestly don't think he effects the game anywhere near enough.

Certainly when you look at the forward options he's the one that must be looking over his shoulder the most now, especially after Gareth Evans 2 goals on Tuesday.

Sorry i read ny post and it missed a comma etc and didnt make sense.

Cooke had a good game. However Clarke (who i was referring too) has been our most creative source all season with limited people to be creative with. Maybe extra options will bring out the best in both

Trueman said they see Rowe as a 9, and they are set in their 4231 system so its Rowe, Novak or Cook rather than two from three I think.

Looks like guess work that. No way were we paying Longridge £2,100 p/w and Guthrie £2,000 per week. If it is accurate we have just taken nearly a third off our next year's salary cap figure (£421,200) getting shut of Longridge, Samuels, Guthrie & The Solihull Gangsta

Intersting. If that is true we have the 3rd highest wage bill in League 2 and Tranmere are only paying Vaughan £2,100 per week, whereas Crawley have a player on £10k per week (Jake Hesketh) and also explains why we didn't get Henderson on £4,100 per week.

The most interesting thing is it claims McAleny is only paid £1,400 per week. Definitely affordable.

That said, I am taking those figures with a huge pinch of salt. Who in their right mind would pay Kurtis Guthrie £104,000 per annum ?? If that's true then Julian Rhodes needs to be 1) certified insane 2) run out of town

Hesketh may well be on 10k a week but clearly that's not what Crawley will be paying him. Like you though, I'd definitely take those figures with a pinch of salt.

Wouldn't disagree with you at all on that.

Seems Daddy and his nasty friend had a toy and spent too much money renovating it.

The nasty friend got banned from using it so Daddy bought his share and gave it to Junior to share with his friend, who had a history of playing with big toys and animals, but had had a roller coaster life. Junior got really mad one day and threw at his school mate and broke it in pieces. Junior then played with the broken pieces for a while before a short overweight man knocked on his door and asked if he could help.

Together they finally mended it, with the help of a tall man who played things the old way, finally the short man lent Junior the money to buy a new box for it.

Once they had the box, it had a value, so together they hatched a plan to get rich by selling it to a foreign collector, not knowing the collector had actually got his sugar daddy uncle to pay for it. The tall man didn't like the collector so he went to a far away world, where everyone wears clogs and eats pies, and despite being quite poor managed to succeed in his new land for a while.

The collector took the toy to bits, because he knew a better way to assemble it and wanted to make everyone understand that, but he made a mess of it and had it confiscated by his sugar daddy before he could do any more damage to. Sugar daddy then lent it back to Junior, not realising that it was junior who had broken it years before and could only be trusted with cheap tourist toys made in Pickering.

Not being the brightest spark in the box, and being a bit of a recluse he wouldn't ask for outside help, Junior couldn't work out how to put it together again, so he finally gave up and gave it to a boy he had met on Twitter in the hope that he could do a better job. The twitter boy, being a bit of a bright spark, realised all he had to do was speak nicely to the sugar daddy and the problem could be mended.

Twitter kid had an early set back because he used an old scottish couple to help him, but he soon realised he needed more help from someone who were more down with the kids and brought in two lads from the year above him at school and a wise older man who knew where to look for further help.

So far the Twitter kid seems to be doing alright, and because the sugar daddy is happy, he has bought more accessories to go with the toy. Very soon they might have the full set.
