Adams & Sparks out!

I think it's about time we made a bit more noise about wanting Rupp gone. Get some banners out at games! He's obviously got a bit of an ego, as shown by his quick response to dampen the crypto takeover. Maybe something visible will make it sink into him that he's not wanted (yes, I know he's not at games, but I'm sure he'll get feedback from him peers).

Sadly, I think the forum on Tuesday will be a farce. I can't remember when it was set up, but it was quite a while back when were weren't doing so badly. Sparks probably wanted to talk about his "re-brand" also. Now the proverbial has really hit the fan(s) in terms of results, takeover rumours, player performances, defensive comments from the board etc, the forum has the potential to really rip into whoever is leading it, if it's not going to be controlled. The thought of, as someone mentioned earlier, it being an "open mic" sends shudders down my spine, so God knows how its going to make Sparks feel if it's like that. And imagine if Rupp comes out of his Ivory Tower to attend thinking it's going to be all nice and boardroom business like! I think it'll be a handful of questions that have been emailed in, plus a few questions from the floor that have been pre vetted. If it happens at all. The theories about a "Covid Cancellation" might not be far from the truth. Embarrassing if that happens, because we all know that they've chickened out. And that just lacks basic balls and respect. If that really does happen, then it's shameful.

This Tuesday, the board have a real chance to save face, gain respect and put the fans first. I'd like to see a couple of players there too. Will be very interesting to see how it all unravels.

If the forum goes ahead, it's more likely to be the same old bulsh!t, bluster and excuses. The only way the board have any chance of saving face, gaining some respect and showing they are putting the fans first now is through actions, not words. If the aim is promotion, prove it by bringing in the players capable of achieving that. If we need better than what we've got, move the deadwood out and invest in players that actually give a sh!t. If there is no room for mediocrity at this club, tell the players that are still going to be here and set a rocket up their arse if they don't buck their ideas up. That's what we all really want, that's what they've promised, so just bloody well get on with it.

 

Given the absolute melt down on all media channels. Given the absolute implosion of the "Derek Adams project". Given the "acquisations" of a sheer lack of effort by this totally inadequate group of players. Given the unacceptable position of this once honourable football club. Given the absence of the actual Owner the custodian charged with all responsibility for the club on and off the field. Given the particularly "sensitive nature" of the relationship between the club and its supporters now and past. Given that all evidence points to Bradford City being the first former Premier League club (yes read that again) to exit the English Football League in the very near future. Given all that and more !

Now is not the time for Ryan Sparks to hide in the "bunker" he must front up and explain properly just what the hell is happening to this club on his watch? No spin no double speak no 'jam tomorrow" messages; No new seats; entrance tunnels; stand sponsors. No more January garbage transfer windows ! No what the supporters need to know and now ! Is how and when Bradford City propose to extract itself from the total mess it has gotten into ? Entirely I might add of the creating of the current owner and his regime over the past 5 dreadful years. So head up my friend over to you and good luck.

I said similar elsewhere, funny enough there was apparent interest in the summer as well yet everytime the club have been asked there’s been no bids. I think he may have a busy and creative agent and nothing else. If there wasn’t this supposed interest no way people on here would make such comments.

 

You're so right with this. The last time we had a number of such players was the 16/17 season; more than a couple of that number would make it into our 'Hall of Fame.' Fewer of them were around next season, and after that, just about no-one worth bothering about. Paudie, maybe, has a chance to become such a player -- but still, nowhere near Hall of Fame status. A few others have done well enough, in patches, but not so as to make me want to remember them decades from now.

Are you referring to Stefan, I honestly can't see that, although it would be worth the admission fee alone to hear the likes of @Fordy117 and @The Outsider putting their points across to Sparks & Adams.

No I was referring to Sparks but I wouldn’t be overly surprised to see Rupp. They wouldn’t advertise his presence for fear of demonstrations.
