Agreed with what you say , but there’s a lot of hindsight, doing the rounds this morning let’s be honest.

I’m glad he’s gone ..whatever happened earlier, Truman needs to follow asap. New broom!

At the time, he wasn't my preferred appointment - I voted for Tisdale. But I can understand fully why the club went for Adams. He has an excellent cv in lower league football and has a reputation for shaking things up. Oh, and he is experienced in managing with a small playing budgets! What's not to like from the club's viewpoint?

There's no rush Simon. We won't go up or down this season. Time to get it right and make sure we're set up for the start of next season.

Summed up in the words. “failed to improve anything in his time here”

Absolutety no improvement in any areas of the pitch.
    Very blinkered manager

WOW. They’ve actually sacked him! :)

Great news, well done on biting the bullet and firing him. He was talking us absolutely nowhere. Ta ra Derek, you arrogant, classless, bore.

I dont think we should have sacked him now at all mate, regardless of my thoughts on whether or not hes the man for the job. unless we're just gonna start giving managers 6 month contracts. I'm in the camp that thinks whilst adams has serious flaws, he aint the biggest issue at bradford city.

i do think there are serious layers of irony in our fanbase bemoaning dinosaur football then relentlessly demanding we play 4-4-2

I won’t hold my breath though he’s been trained by Rhodes who was the master of boring safe managers

In relative terms, this was the "easier" of the decision to be made. Now to a new gaffer. And communication from the club.

A new gaffer per se, won't stop the unrest beyond the short term.

I know, I saw the poll.

I wasn't opposed to him, he just wasn't the best appointment, he didn't make the most sense, but he did have the credentials.

Hopefully we've learned our lesson that you need a balance between record+suitability.

He’s gone and I don’t get why fans can’t be just happy for the moment. Yes Sparks went for Adams believing he was the guy to get us promoted asap. Even with a 3yr deal it was the short term vision option just to get us out of this depressingly crap division. It has n’t worked. Losing fans, Sparks had to accept it before fans deserted the club. Christ yes a lot has to change at the club but it was clear Adams had to go. As for sacking him before the transfer window, the club would have been criticised sacking him before or after. We all hoped it would work but it has n’t. He was an expensive mistake but the majority of fans I believe were happy with his appointment. Let’s see what happens next and how we get out of this sh#t show. Positive change is needed or fans just won’t come back.

Nothing to do with you whether I stop going or not, thanks.

It's a possibility as I've discussed on this board, but also a pretty strong habit.

    Still.

You won't factor into the decision.

I'm with the General, let's be a bit more patient. I like everyone else want promotion ASAP but let's not put too much pressure on a the new guy (or gal) from the start. We need to get the whole set up right, management/coaching appointment, playing style, player recruitment, player development (I would like to see players like Foulds and Stuanton developed on the pitch) and backup staff. If we get most of that right promotion will come sooner rather than later.

I posted this above. Relieving DA will only temper the flames IMO.

Fans had stopped caring. Terrible, flat atmosphere at matches. Players saying it was boring too. Manager slagging off rivals. Manager chucking players under a bus. Manager making ridiculous, arrogant claims and daring the club to sack him with his silly statements.

    So long Dezza

Correct. Those celebrating seem to forget that by the time the new guy (or gal) comes we'll have had nine different management regimes in just over 4 years.

We're making Ipswich, Sunderland and Watford look like models of stability.

The new manager had better be good. And if Flynn is seen as the answer, then we need to be very worried as he's arguably a downgrade from Adams.
