I’ve just spoken to my Donny season ticket holder mate and it’s not good news. They had high hopes for him but said he turns up 1 in 5, his legs have gone and they played better with him out of the team. Gives the ball away a fair bit too. I hope he’s wrong but he did say it he might be good for the experience. The problem at Donny was they signed too many older players and he’s glad the new manager is shipping them out…oops.

 

Like I said. Look at Rochdale fans comments when Gary Jones left them for us. I bet you find loads of "legs gone, slow, past his best". Judge him on the field, not on paper. Potentially a good signing.

 

A few years ago i'd have gone and picked him up myself, was a very competent player back then. Not sure now, Donny fans seem relieved and talk of his legs going, which is kinda what we really need. Anyway, i guess thats our central midfielder so lets see what he can do. Cos we kinda need him do to something.

 

Currently 31 players still at the club in the first team squad. Far too many in my opinion, surely a few to go out the door.
Threlkeld, Hendrie, East, Finn cousin Dawson, are kian Scales and Charlie wood out on loan, also 4 first team goalkeepers, albeit 2 are youngsters. Young and Foulds out on loan. Never know us have such a large squad.

Don’t really know but my guess there has been a disagreement with manager or players or both who knows. It happens, but Hughes will have done due diligence.

 

It’s not a good signing. People were just desperate for a midfielder to sign. I can only think he’s a backup option to Smallwood because otherwise we just have two slow passers of the ball who can’t turn and run with it. Expect more slow passing between defence and midfield to continue.

Does seem a player bought as much for his dressing room leadership as anything else. Lewis alluded to the fact there are no real leaders in the side. Lets hope it brings some fight out of the other quieter ones.

 

Look obviously Donny fans are saying he wasn’t good enough for them so why would we want him? It also sounds like the balance in their team was off. Here is what suggest, non of us know him or have even watched him lately rule out that debacle at the start of the season. Let us just wait and see. You can’t judge how good a cake is when it is in the mixing bowl

Well if he hasn’t then he really is in trouble. We were promised due diligence as to the character of players. We must have watched him and completed other checks. If he ends up being a dud and of no use to us, then I will lose all respect for him and will question his overall approach to our football team.

 

You seem a bit upset that people have a different opinion to you, forums you’ll find often have different opinions get over it. You think he’s shit based off a few comments on social media and others want to wait and see what he’s like. It is what it is.
