If we have to pay for a season ticket and suite is free,why do they charge the price of a suite then?

 

who knows. As has been said though they don’t always charge the cost of the suite as those in the OAP sector still pay £180. It is a fixed price for the season ticket and a free suite pass. The website says that and the receipts issued say that, not sure how else I can explain it.

Because the seats in the block, EX?, that he sits are only available with a suite upgrade or with hospitality. If he sat elsewhere he would be able to.

 

Just looked and there are only 4 suite upgrade seats available anywhere in the ground for new purchases which could explain the large increase in cost. The old supply and demand.

Ah, that's clearer. I thought you were saying that no one could swap their 25 year ST for an OAP ST and retain their existing seat.
I sit in C Block Sunwin Stand. I've never used the suite upgrade because I can't be arsed trekking upstairs at HT and prefer the pub before the game. As it stands it seems like I might as well bin off my 25 year ST and buy a cheaper OAP one.

I'm going into the ticket office today to collect my Walsall ticket. I'll check with them that it's possible to switch from 25 year ST to OAP ST and retain your seat, as long as it's not in an area reserved for suite patrons.

 

Can we use the Patrons bar? I am confused, we have been using the McCall/Hendrie suites.

 

I get the impression with this that they want us all to “bin them off” by making it cheaper for OAPS to get a normal over 60 ticket. Once lapsed, they are finished.

 

Yes. I guess they've made the calculation that a fair proportion of the 25 yearers will now be OAPs, so by raising the price beyond that of an OAP ST they can get rid of a big chunk of 25 year STs.

That's not true I don't think, unless of course they've changed the ts and C's. Originally you could sell your seat season by season but restrain the rights to it through your 25 year ticket incase you fancied returning.
