25 Year 'Season Tickets' (Now with Suites Poll)

Not a popular opinion I know but I think they should have been scrapped when Rupp took over. The club have been extremely generous to honour the 25 year ST in one way or another. If anything those who bought them were very naive. Football has always been a business and businessmen don’t often stick around for long, especially for 25 years. Like with most businesses, debts are written off when the company is placed into admin, which we were twice, then Gibb and Rhodes took over, then Lawn, now Rupp. I don’t know any other company that would honour anything sold by its 3 x predecessors!

 

If they were going to stop it early the right time would have been during an admin process as that is the time to write of debts etc. it was explicitly covered in the first admin and those with them were classed as creditors and voted accordingly. I think problem happened during second one were we were neither covered as creditors or dealt with.

 

And presumably they were all counted as creditors.

 

It is a shame that City (Rupp/Sparks) couldn't see this deal through for a couple of more years to it's natural conclusion.
In the grand scheme it wouldn't have cost the club much, but so be it.
I will be better off now just buying a senior ticket, which is still great value, especially if we go up.

There were complications not mentioned yet that I was going to start to talk about but I quickly realised it got very complicated and I could not remember them all. Given I do not have all the facts any longer, I'm not going to debate or argue over it. I'll just restate the main original point. I did not get any money back and I understood only a quite small minority did. I have had to pay for suites I've never used and many are in the same boat. I paid for a free ticket for 25 years but am now paying nearly full price to attend games despite shelling out not to. I'm not freeloading and I suspect most 25-yearers are similar. I don't hold it against the club. It's a bit cynical the way the benefit we did get out of the admins has subsequently been chipped away at but we were lucky to get anything. I have probably brought several new fans to the club and will myself pay for at least 7 season tickets next season plus some match-day spending for some of them. I pay plenty and I'm happy to do so regardless of some ignorance on social media.

I sit in the upper Kop in the same seats I’ve had since the new Kop was built. I have no desire to move seats into the Bantams bar area but wish to continue using the suite.
Are the club now telling me that’s not possible?
This is something I’ll bring up with Ryan Sparks directly if true.

I think it is due to the restrictions on numbers allowed in the bar, which matches the number of tickets in the cordoned off area. This probably hasn’t been an issue before as they haven’t sold out but if they are close to doing so it would mean not being able to sell a seat in that area due to no room in the bar
