First and foremost the figures have to add up, the important thing is the club make money out of it. And the only way that will is if it appeals to supporters with what is on offer.

If it reduces the queues at the counters for those that want food or beer then it must reduce waiting times, plus bean to cup freshly ground and with plenty of choices like cappuccino and Latte or Espresso

Great idea. Billy Clarke is into coffee sales, it could keep him at the club he loves but off the pitch.

I have a quick question about season ticket prices.

'Bigger' clubs (factually bigger, with bigger audiences) have benefitted enormously from the iFollow set up. I'm not saying revenue hasn't plummeted because of the pandemic, but I'm saying iFollow has made bigger clubs more money than perhaps they anticipated - so why are the club considering increasing season ticket prices and not looking to increase revenue by selling both season tickets AND iFollow subscriptions? Even if it's only for away games?

I'm sure there must be something stopping clubs from making more money through iFollow, but can't those obstacles be addressed?

Surely if the pandemic has taught the authorities anything at all it's that streaming games people can't get to is the future of football, and that surely should enable clubs to keep season tickets and the cost of live attendance DOWN, not UP.

It seems a ridiculously stupid time to consider making live attendance more expensive, even for us and our cheap tickets? There's got to be other, much, much better options if clubs need more money. And I'm sorry, but I'd think that was pretty freaking obvious?

Does Bradford City need to lead the way in ensuring iFollow subscriptions and sales continue to make this club some useful money? If so, what are we doing about it, and is it as high up the agenda as it should be?

I think the issue is if ifollow stays available then the Saturday afternoon blackout will have to be removed across the board which I don’t think the league will want. Obviously there is also the issue of already signed contracts with Sky and BT

Sparks said in his interview that City are in favour of it continuing as an option, and they have been in discussion with the EFL about it. Watch this space I guess

The club seem to be moving away from season tickets to a sort of subscription package. Probably something like a fixed amount a month with entry by a card with a barcode or on a smart phone.
Is this done at any other club at the moment

Most now have entry by barcode or QR codes on your phone even the small clubs and NL ones, We are years behind in this area, The monthly payment is nothing new except extending the payment period

This sounds different though the monthly payment is done through a finance company this sounds more like a subscription similar to Netflix or others like it

I don't get that, money up front at the start of a new season guarentees the club revenue, if it was not for Covid paying monthly would have seen a massive drop off with regards fans, as has been pointed out in the past the club have quoted 14,000 in attendance when those attending know quite well the attendance is less than 10,000 but it didn't matter as the missing 4,000 had payed already.
For me purchasing a season ticket guarentees money in the bank so the club can budget for players ETC I see little positivity in what Ryan is suggesting or have I missed a trick.

I bet the likes of Rochdale, Accrington, Fleetwood etc aren't, as he said at times we've sold out the away end memories of Bury in the FA Cup we sold out both ends, that could be a big loss to clubs like that if friends got together to watch it at one house, remember that couldn't be done under Covid restrictions.

There is usually less cancellations when things are done through a subscription model as people forget or can not be bothered to cancel the DD

You may be right but Id suggest seeing what we saw on Ifollow last season would have had many canceling their monthly subscription.
If the ticket price is raised to £200 for adults and pro rata for others a family of 4 could have a monthly subscription of around £60/month that's a big commitment if we see the same performances as we did last season.

It will depend for me how it looks as a model. If the monthly payments are collectively more than a yearly one off payment (bit like your insurance with an Apr) then a no for me.
It will also depend what is wrapped in a yearly payment /monthly payment (ie perks, et al). If I deem it unnecessary, it could put me off. I simply want a season ticket.

Don't do Netflix, prime and all those types, for reference.

I'm guessing it will be an option rather than compulsory
