Got to be better than a rubbery sausage roll and a bottle for a couple pence change out of a tenner

The speed of service also needs to be improved somehow - especially if the quality and value improves, leading to more demand. In the main stand I gave up ages ago trying to get a hot drink at half times and started bringing a flask. Too many times I queued for the whole half time break and missed the first few minutes of the second half.

It’s one of the problems of an old stadium, the more modern places I have been to seem to have a lot more kiosks and a lot more variety too.

It's been 20 years since anything was done stadium wise (Big screens and changing rooms don't count). And the world has changed a lot in those 20 years with things like technology, fan parks and the like. Man United have a similar problem with their hospitality areas in that most of them feel outdated in a modern world. Matchday experience is a big income stream these days, the times of the game just appealing to old men drinking real ale or young uns drinking piss like carling are a thing of the past. Other markets such as families and women have arguably more potential and need to be factored in when planning the matchday experience.

We have the kiosks, but just don't open them all.

I think the idea is to try and enhance the match day experience, not make it worse.

And you think the slop we queue and pay over the top for is any better, Whats wrong with bean to cup coffee instead of instant at a dearer price?

I'm not suggesting things stay the same, I just think there are better ways to improve the offer than installing a couple of vending machines.

Things are being done mate new seats going in and a new players dugout, players tunnel and area around, as some have posted better pricing with regards food and drink, fair does to Ryan this is the first time we've seen any sort of improving with regards the stadium, let's hope the new seating is better than the seats they put in a few years ago which may said were smaller and uncomfortable.

I think they'd have to go some to produce a coffee I'd consider buying. I'm not saying I'm a coffee fanatic, but with a quick count up at home, I have 2 coffee roasters, 5 coffee grinders and a plethora of different types of coffee making machines & devices. I doubt City could ever get close to my standards there.

Now on the beer quality, it's more than possible, as plenty of grounds I visit manage it. However, if their vision is along the lines of draught Carling, then I still won't be contributing to their drinks income. It says something when my local North West Counties team, with an average attendance of 50, can put on a better offering than City.

It is but if it persuades more people to sign up to a figure of £200 then to me thatakes sense.

Hes not daft and has had experience of working with people who have worked at big clubs with the commercial side of things. Just listen to them, I know these guys understand that football is an entertainment business and that part of that business is making people part with their expendable income. Even if some of our fans don't understand this concept.

While the playing side is obviously the most important part the bit before it is also vital.
I don’t drink alcohol so can’t comment but I go with people who do and they would rather stay in the pub for another or sit on the wall outside the Tesco express with a drink than drink the piss that’s served at VP
Get people in the ground earlier and give them value for money options and they are likely to spend more.

In the past with the club putting the food & drink to outside contractors and taking a % they have not been too interested in the customer, I won't pay £4 of whatever a pint costs for something I can buy cheaper at a pub down the road especially when I have paid for a suite.
Good on Ryan for looking into getting a better deal for fans, I honestly believe things will change both off the field and on it with the right managerial appointment.

I very rarely drink at the football if at all so for me to frequent a fan zone there would have to be more on offer than a guest real ale or a draught carling. I'm more of a food man so that would be an important factor for me, such as Indian street food or hot roast sandwiches. I have no interest in pie and peas or a chip butty.
