I agree with your sentiment regarding scanning season tickets but the infrastructure at the turnstiles would need to be upgraded massively.
It would definitely need better than a few young kids earning a couple of quid on a Saturday afternoon taking absolutely no notice of who they were letting in to the ground.
I swear I could have shown them my daughters old Build-a-bear loyalty card and they wouldn’t have noticed.
Think a new automated turnstile system is not at the top of Ryan’s to do list

Is it? Many businesses have done well from covid.

You try and order a new kitchen or carpets and see how long the waiting time is. People have money to spend.

Prices at Bradford City need to go up and go up now. Rhodes should have put them up ages ago.

We can't afford not to put our prices up.

I am not a big drinker. I eat out on a regular basis, with my wife and friends and can not wait to get back. We will probably do it more often, once the government allow. By the way , l have paid all my taxes due right through the pandemic, both personally and through company tax , so i am helping them. No government has any money, they just spend ours.

Quite happy to pay £200 per season in League 2 and then £250 for league 1 and £300-£325 for Championship.

Easily affordable if they do 6 or 12 month payment plans.

Cheap tickets were introduced a good few years ago and the players wages have likely continually risen since then meaning the actual value of the ST cost has lowered as you get less for your money.

If we are to bring a new era to the club we now need to start acting a little different and ticket prices should be the first thing we address. Success never comes cheap.

I would not need to increase by such a one off percentage , i increase my prices every January by inflation +, as do most of my suppliers. My employees also get pay rises at inflation. Its how the world works. If i had not increased prices like this, i would not have a business, we would have been bankrupt years ago.
Bradford city as a business have been consuming these extra costs on our behalf for years.
£8.69 per game £200 per season is a bargain, £150 is amazing , but it is time to start increasing the cost.
By the way a 25% increase on £150 is £37.50 so tickets would be £187.50

Back to the good old days where you knew every other fan in the stadium personally , sorry not for me or the club according to Ryan.

It's been 20 years since anything was done stadium wise (Big screens and changing rooms don't count). And the world has changed a lot in those 20 years with things like technology, fan parks and the like. Man United have a similar problem with their hospitality areas in that most of them feel outdated in a modern world. Matchday experience is a big income stream these days, the times of the game just appealing to old men drinking real ale or young uns drinking piss like carling are a thing of the past. Other markets such as families and women have arguably more potential and need to be factored in when planning the matchday experience.

In the past with the club putting the food & drink to outside contractors and taking a % they have not been too interested in the customer, I won't pay £4 of whatever a pint costs for something I can buy cheaper at a pub down the road especially when I have paid for a suite.
Good on Ryan for looking into getting a better deal for fans, I honestly believe things will change both off the field and on it with the right managerial appointment.

I don't get that, money up front at the start of a new season guarentees the club revenue, if it was not for Covid paying monthly would have seen a massive drop off with regards fans, as has been pointed out in the past the club have quoted 14,000 in attendance when those attending know quite well the attendance is less than 10,000 but it didn't matter as the missing 4,000 had payed already.
For me purchasing a season ticket guarentees money in the bank so the club can budget for players ETC I see little positivity in what Ryan is suggesting or have I missed a trick.

But surely having 12/14,000 pre-paid season tickets before the start of the season is better than monies every month, and who in the right mind would pay a % on that way of paying for it, before I believe its been done through a finance company I doubt they will be doing it for free.
Your example above makes sense with regards your lass buying a bike as you say on credit card with no interest as long as the payments are kept up to, will City be offering 0% on the deal, there must be more involved so maybe until they make the announcement I shouldn't pre judge, but I'll be paying up front before the start of the new season.

Hull do a subscription/membership scheme instead of season tickets, they do not offer the option of paying in one go.

    https://www.hullcitytigers.com/tickets/ticketing-faq/

Fleetwood do a auto renewal 9 monthly payment, auto renewal annual payment or a manual renewal

When Hull first introduced the membership scheme it was looked at by them to try and reduce their tax bill as tax is not applied in the same way to a membership as it is to a ticket, same reason why 25y season ticket holders pay for the suite membership and get the season ticket free, but HMRC would not recognise it as a true membership but they still ran with the scheme.

Bronco of course they need to make an attractive proposition but if they can offer a subscription at the same price as one off what is wrong with holding on to your money with whatever interest you can attract with possible extra benefits can’t see the problem

I quite like popping down to the ticket office and having a chat with the staff.
I do come from Drighlington though and our idea of entertainment is watching the traffic lights change !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. There are a couple of clues in the offer. The monthly cost is spread evenly in rounded values (hence some of the odd looking annual figures) and over 12 months (extending it beyond the 21/22 season) unlike previous financing alternatives in earlier seasons. Those factors will make it relatively easy to extend and rollover the arrangements fo following seasons especially once the DD is open ended.

It makes a lot of sense from the club's perspective. I can't imagine it will be implemented fully until an automatic entry system has also been installed to catch those who cancel their subscription during or after the season.

Like I said ages ago it won't make hardly any difference. The ones we lose wouldn't have signed back up at any price. You show me a fan that would sign back up at £150 and I'll show you the very same fan signing up for £200

Great price in my opinion-roughly what I said I would be more than happy to pay.

Loved the video-brought a lump in my throat and a wee tear if I am honest. Didn't realise how much I miss matchday and that walk to the ground.

    Well done City
