You don't need an absolute certainty of price to start saving up? That's a daft excuse.

We all know an adult ST will be between £150 and £200 so basing your savings around that figure will give you the amount of time needed to save up. Its not rocket science.

It is to some. We hear the same year in year out about number of pay days. If monthly you have 12 a year and you know if you want to get a season ticket you will need to buy your ticket between April-July. Same every year

Hugely positive start for the #TakeMeHome campaign! I'm told our highest opening-day sales in five years, with a number of newcomers taking up our direct-debit package. The 1903 Club is proving popular and the NWC is going to be noisy! Thank you for your superb support. [IMG] #BCAFC

If we sell 11,000+ STs, that would be remarkable imo from where we are.

Really incredible effort. I expected around 9,000 at best.

After the last four years of being a passenger on the rudderless ship which is Bradford City, the season ticket take up has been an excellent effort by the club and its fans. Those who thought the price rises would have a detrimental effect to numbers don't understand the club or the fans who follow it. Sparks has listened to the fans, there was always going to be a drop off for various reasons but the price rise showed Sparks knows what he is doing. Those fans who have signed up I will guarantee will see a different Bradford City next season. Because there is a will to succeed from the guy now steering the ship, I can't stress how important that is to the potential success of the team on the pitch.

It can be dressed up any way you want but the hard facts are after over a season interrupted by covid and four years of absolute dross, over 12,000 fans have paid in the majority a 25%increase to watch league 2 football. That is a without doubt a huge success and credit needs to go to Sparks for raising revenues while giving fans different ways to pay.

So they have a choice but if they don't choose how we want them to then we'll decide they didn't actually have a choice in the first place?

I believe it would be the wrong move to increase ticket prices for the 2021/22 season after what we have been through both on the pitch which was poor but also the lockdown and Covid situation.
Do the business next season get us promoted and i'ts a different ball game, thats the time to think of increasing ticket prices.

Is it ? I run my own business and we are heading for our best year ever in the year to 30th June 2021, by some considerable margin. We've gone from expecting the world to fall out of the housing market to almost having to work full time !!!

Personally I'm probably £300 to £400 a MONTH better off with no spending on holidays, beer, meals out, drugs (only joking on that one, honest), day trips, having family round for meals and drinks etc.

Working from home between the start of November and the end of April has saved me around £750 alone in petrol, more than enough to cover the extra utility bills many times over. My wife is working from home now and that is saving another £120 per month. We've put more into our savings in the last 12 months than the last three years combined.

I'm lucky, many aren't in this position, I know that and I sympathise with them, but from my circle of friends (yes I have some) the same picture can be seen in that we have pent up demand to spend.

The UK economy contracted by 9.9% in 2020 and the BoE expect it grow by 7.5% in 2021 and exceed 1st Jan 2020 levels during early 2022.

I am 57 and my state pension age is 67. I definately won't be working much passed 60. The age when you get the reduced price from the club , should be 65. Lots of people over 60 , earn good salaries and don't need the reduce price.

I suppose that there is more to it, than just watching the current players. Like a lot on here, I have been watching City since the last century (scary thing time). For me it is a chance to meet with family and friends, which would otherwise be lost. I think that the world is a strange place now, politics, health, lifestyle all changing, sometimes not for the better. So yes I will be unhappy with the state of the club, but it is part of me and I am not going to lose it if I can avoid doing so.

Like I said to you the other afternoon mate, some are over complicating things. £198 for a full season of football with an interest free debit option is the best thing Sparks could have done. It brings in more income via the price increase thus helping sustainability and allows people to spread the payments. If get a ticket for me and my lad it's £31 a month. I'd say brilliant work from Sparks, he's asked fans for their input and listened to it and acted accordingly.
