I hadn't really weighed up the pros and cons, I just took it at face value that we'd definitely save money.

Not knowing how much floodlights cost to run, I wouldn't have a clue if it was higher or lower than hospitality etc.

Either way is fine by me, glad the clubs have decided amongst themselves.

It makes sense considering 1pm kick offs are specifically targeted at keeping fans sober.

Sounds like clubs still have the option to move it if the two clubs think its beneficial for that game. Seemingly the Mansfield board are going to ask for their matches.

Probably first weekend of December, away at Orient may face some fixture change as there's a chance England will play at 3pm the Saturday. Pompey have already moved their fixture that weekend to the Friday to let fans see both.

 

Unless they have changed the rules it is still the same as before which is if both teams agree then the game can be moved

No one said the proposal was thinking about fans. Not moving is more about fans than moving. It's just common sense.

 

FGR owner Dale Vince was quoting pretty low number in terms electricity costs for the floodlights, he owns companies in this industry so i'm presuming no knows his stuff. I'll see if i can find the quote.

Depends on the light units RT. . Our village football team use LED floodlights for training on winter’s nights and they are PDG!

I’m sure that most clubs will have swapped to LED’s a while ago?

 

I know city fit LEDs kev cos I was talking to one of the lads who fit them. He said theres some right weight carrying them up. I'm sure Dale vi ce was quoting a figure of £300. I'll find his quote and post it
