Glad we got the issue of the hot water tanks cleared up.

This is why City will always be crap, the fans aren’t interested in challenging the status quo, just blindly accepting on and off the field mediocrity and giving the owners a free pass, the shame of Bingley Bantams getting in with Edin to get the fly over cancelled. I mean come on, ask some proper questions rather than fannying on about hot water and number of tickets sold. Ask why it takes supporters to point out the bleeding obvious and challenge the answers. At least Manny wasn’t there.

I must have missed the questions that you wished to raise. Sorry if that happened. If there is anything you specifically want to be discussed perhaps a post would assist?

Alternatively you could attend the open event on Thursday and raise your points in person. Cut through the crap if you will!
Fans forums are being taken on the road, being held over the coming months.
The events are open to all supporters wishing to attend. They will get underway from 7.00pm and will be completely free of charge’.

    Well I live a few hours away and didn’t see the request for questions, but as a starter;

Why are City one of the few clubs to file abridged accounts? Why the lack of transparency that almost every FL club gives its fans?

What was Julian’s consultancy fee last season? Why does the club have a CEO who has been involved in previous administrations?

Why does it take supporters to point out issues like dirty toilets? Why can’t the club display some professionalism and preemptively resolve issues?

Who is responsible for player recruitment? Why is Drury still involved after last year’s events?

Fine will raise them at the next meeting.

However I would say that the toilets has been addressed by the club. In respect of Drury he has a contract with the club and until that concludes he is likely to remain with the club. As I understand it Bowyer leads recruitment, but clearly has a budget to operate within.

They'll trot out re:Aubridged accounts. That they comply with companies house rules & regulations.
I certainly get the point MH raises. Does bring up the question of why and what are we trying to hide. As MH states we are just one of a handful that do this

Stuart McCall had a contract and didn’t see it out. Michael Collins had a contract, Kenny Black, Taylor, Jacko. Why aren’t the club helping BowyerS by reaching a compromise with the left over shite? When will Salford sign Riley?

Regardless of where you live get yersen down there on Thursday and ask the questions yourself.

You clearly are not happy with the way the club is being run to raise the questions. So ask them yourself and then you can rest easy your points have been adequately put across and you can hear at first hand the responses. Being there also allows you to respond to answers and form a constructive dialogue, Which I assume you would welcome.

We're deciding who's going. We'd prefer Hoochy but the miserable get wants it nearer home.

Full accounts would show Director’s and related party remuneration, loans to and from the club, debt or profit, full P&L details. They have to provide this to the EFL anyway and almost every other club files this at companies house. Because of the size of the business they don’t have to file full accounts, but it would certainly give transparency about the financial state of the club.

Completely correct, I should get myself there, but I do have to work and if I’m choosing between the people who pay my salary and a couple of hours in the car each way to quiz a relatively junior member of the club who will give bland answers, it’s my employer. They keep a roof over our head and food in our fridge.

I can understand that you may want that information, but is it actually necessary? I go to restaurants, cinema, pub, hotels, a sports centre, etc and do not know these details in respect of their owners? I still enjoy the experiences.

I have some understanding of how my car works, but do not need to know all the precise mechanisms. If it works, is affordable, is comfortable and good to drive, looks good, is large enough, retains some value, then that is enough for me.

Surely if City comply with the EFL rules, then that is a base line? I agree it would be good for greater transparency, but then accounts required, in themselves, do not stop clubs getting into a mess. Did Bury and Bolton comply with the requirements?

Perhaps there needs to be a change in the EFL rules, but as long as City operate within the current ones, then there seems that there is little more we can do in respect of this issue.

Like yourself I do not live in Bradford, but if it matters, then I put myself out a little. If you can get to a midweek game, then you can get to one of these meetings. You seem to have a desire to explore these issues and have a clear vision as to what should be addressed, I think you need to raise these issues yourself. Alternatively you can send a detailed written submission and that will be tendered at the next meeting.

    All the best.

I take your point. On the one hand it’s a private business, but on the other hand football clubs are more than a business. They’re a community asset representing the city. Your favourite restaurant goes out of business, there’s a dozen more, your football club goes out business, you rip a good part of the heart out of a place. That’s why I think it’s important to have transparency. Stefan, Mark, Julian, Richmond, Stafford etc., they are custodians of the club for the next generation.

A properly and transparently run football club, with the backing of the council, fans and residents, joining forces with other sporting teams, allied with a future vision for the city would help rejuvenate a dying city that’s on its arse and in the shadow of Leeds.

I think he has a point with the first 2 questions. It was the ‘not-so’ veiled dig at Rhodes that adds nothing.
