‘Fans Media Groups’

For those who've asked about the Fan Zone, it is to be trailed at the Colchester game on 4th April.

This will be aimed towards families initially simply to monitor the practicalities of operating a fan zone on Midland Road. This could then be extended to include pop up bars on corner of Hollywell Ash/Midland Road with development. The Club sought volunteers to assist with regards to initial trial and also opportunity for Supporters Groups to have a presence in that area. It is planned for a Junior Fanzone to be located in “The Hub” adjoining the Club shop in future (following refurbishment last year by Friends of Bradford City).

Was the replacement CEO gonna be David Baldwin?

 

I wouldn't think so, at the time of leaving he commented with his family situation going to Burnleys as CEO was to good too turn down, another City man through and through but being loyal doesn't pay the bill's.

 

Heard it might well have been Laurie Dalrymple who went to Harlequins in November. If true, amazed we could afford him.

 

Can he play centre mid?

 

Not sure, he's known more for his cricket.

 

What's the point of these fan meetings? They seem nothing more than a means of placating the easily led masses with lazy PR.

Say what you will about TCA, but they have their finger on the pulse and if they were invited, you might get some proper bloody questions answered about the direction and viability of this club.

 

Drop Ryan Sparks or the club an email I'm sure he would accommodate you lads, you have as much right to attend as any other branch/forum.

 

if they have the bottle to front up in person rather than behind a phone then I think its a great idea and should happen.

 

As far I am aware the TCA was always invited! I think they thought it was a waste of time, but I could be wrong.

 

I'm pretty sure they were invited however it's much easier to bash a keyboard anonymously.

Ah, turns out TCA were invited but declined on the basis that the serious questions that need to be asked, wouldn't be entertained.

Should that position need to be revisited, and the club were open to a serious discussion and receptive to real critique,I'm sure there'd be no issue getting TCA representation there!

 

There is only one way to find out, go and ask the questions if the people representing the club are not forth coming with answers, walk away as there is little point discussing trivial matters, I'm sure a poster like yourself would know what questions you'd get an answer to and maybe know a probing question with regards finance may not.
You and @Rogered Tart would be a pretty daunting prospect.
