Absolutely agree that it's a free choice. The question was more aimed at the point made that we "should make the effort" and I'm just wondering why.

Of course, if people go because they want to then that's different, I'm just wondering if there's any good reasons for people that don't really want to go to feel under pressure to make the effort and attend.

Where have I said am cheering on the opponents ?
Like you well over 50 years invested but recognise it's time for change for the good of the future of our club
Enjoy your day out at Wembley should we get there
I think it's a soul less excuse for a stadium in a tin pot competition
    Each to there own !!!

Nobody is telling you not to go and that's not the question I asked. Just twisting the original question to suit the answer you'd like to give isn't really answering the question.

In my life time of supporting Bradford city, i have seen 3 administration's. I and many others , gave money to try and help the club continue, It was not done to line the pockets of the owners.
Bradford city football club in an important part of the fabric of the city, it may be owned by one man, but it belongs to everyone. Match day is so much more than the football. its shared joy and pain with family members, its friendship's you make with fellow supporters, its pride, its hope, its a rollercoaster of emotions.
We lost one football club, probably should never had two.
This city, which has little going for it currently. would be an even poorer place, if we lost a second club , through lack of its citizens actually caring.

Thanks Andy, that's a great explanation. It's just a shame the current owner doesn't have the same level of passion.

He is a German business man, interested in motor sport, who was persuaded to invest by others.
He will never have the desire or passion.
It is just another asset to him.One he wants to realise the most capital from.
I have said before , a massive win on the euro millions for some one like myself, could see the clubs fortunes massively improve.

Well you clearly stated you don’t want us to win the competition as it might reflect well on Sparks but it’s your choice. Incidentally did you enjoy the dodgy Bob Martin reign. Remember not paying HMRC and hoping it would go away.

We got 2,300 more than Wycombe got for their quarter final.

No but I did enjoy the time under Lawn when we were promoted went to a major cup final and had some great cup runs on a budget no better than today's under an interested leadership
There comes a time when change is needed to prolong the life of the club and carrying on as normal/turning a blind eye/happy clapping wont bring that short term pain long term gain

What a great achievement and well done to Wycombe for showing what a pointless excuse for a trophy it is

I think a few would be happy to see us further down the ladder in front of 3k fans to show how loyal they are

    We didn’t though.

Minus Donny fans we had circa 2,500

Brighton u21 don’t have any away fans

That gives us approx 1,700 more. What’s your point?

If anything our percentage in this competition vs average home support is lower than Wycombe’s

The worst thing that could happen for us is winning this cup broadcast worldwide.

It’ll give Rupp a false perception of a success, Sparks will change the narrative to boost his ego, some of our lower IQ fanbase will buy into it and we’ll be stuck in further stagnation instead of forcing the change we desperately need.

The past 5 League Two sides to reach the final have only gone one way since which is frightening.

Sutton - now 23rd League Two
Tranmere - now 17th League Two
Salford - now 19th League Two
    Southend - now Non-League
    Chesterfield - now Non-League

Brighton 'took' 149 fans to Wycombe.

There are many valid reasons not to go to a City game, you may agree or disagree but they’re all valid to someone

    Family
    Work
    Weather
    Illness
    Football is boring
    Cost
    Boycotting the owner
    Friends not going

It’s nonsense to say stuff like you’re not a real fan unless you have a ST, go every game or whatever. We’re all fans and want City to succeed, but our lives change in different ways as we get older.

You go or you stay away, shouldn’t be thought less or more or have less of a valid opinion because you decide not to attend games

As a separate, stand alone comment that is a very positive comment Park - now we just need the new owner/CEO bit to happen ;)

I don’t speak for anyone else of course there are plenty of valid reasons for not attending games. But boycotts in my opinion are not one of them unless your putting whoever owns the club or runs it as more importan than the constant the club itself
