I was joking about Young being there with Pattison. I just think it's hypocritical to call out Jake for not being there when other injured squad members didn't appear to be in attendance either.

I hope he gets a loan move somewhere this window to get some game time. I've liked the look of him when I've seen him play but I don't see him fitting into GA's plans anytime soon.

Completely agree, it really grinds my gears the stuff thats been said. I'm guessing none of us know the lad personally or his circumstances. As i see he owes the club nothing and vice versa. I wish the lad nothing but the best whether he stays or goes.

    Who is Thomlinson;)?

Seriously. Doyle , his positioning for their free kick in the f/h was dreadful. All their lad, Ward had to do was hit a gaping gap to Doyle’s right. The cramp fumble..laughable.

Only changes for Sat for me

    Lewis in
Rides is dreadful at the moment, out
Cook in for Oliver ( I don’t get the let’s beat Oliver stuff up, Cook has been pretty poor recently and completely fluffed his only line last night when coming on, but he needed a REST)

3-4-2-1 worked last night . Oliver kept two defenders occupied leaving Bobby and Chapman to roam. It worked.
Gilly had a better game than you think imho, great shot and lovely cut back only for Cook to mess up!

KM and R/S provided great protection for the untroubled three at the back.

Otherwise you have a decent reflection.

Don’t think we’ll ever find out if there is an issue, but with the results being improved on the whole he can hardly complain about being left out. After all his own performances were well below his own standard of last season and even last night. We don’t need sulkers in the squad but I sense GA wants to reduce the numbers to give everyone hope.

It's one game FFS in the least contested competition in the season.

We may not know him personally as you say, but if he wants away , then come out and say, i would rather not play for Bradford city again, do not hide behind an injury, that did not stop him playing for his loan club.
A little bit of honesty would go a long way in this case, but as usual, the people that are actually paying his wages, the supporters are mugged off again, we have one of the leading scorers in the country this season, who has not kicked a ball for us and most likely wont.

Agree re Gilly but with Oliver I didn't notice any defenders around him, he just seemed to wander around on his own aimlessly behind anything that was going on...

Some massive positives from that result.

1: Obviously we progress, money and closer to Wemberleeeee etc.
2: Gives GA a chance to look at his options and maybe change things for Saturday.

People seem to think Taylor is terrible when he may have had a shocker of a game at the start of his Bantams career. But there's a solid League 2 centre half in there. But what I like most is how he's very vocal. GA rates him too, until his red against FGR he was in the starting 11 and we were winning games.

Be nice if he had a clean slate from the fans when he starts at the weekend. But since our fans are all football experts and write players off after a few games it won't happen.

Great to see Bobby back and Chapman. Oliver needs to move on. If Young goes too, we need two forwards. Unless GA changes the shape again.

Is it just me or has last nights match fiddled everyones memories.
We had been crap at the back for months and it culminated in the shit show at Notts County.
The defence that day were slated on here and rightfully replaced.
Since then we've had one game out of 9 where we've looked vulnerable.
Now after a win in a competition that no one on here was bothered about until 9.00pm last night, we should bring back the same defence that week in week out had us losing regularly?
Any issues we have at the moment aren't at the back, it's the reluctance to change the front 4 that's the issue, leading to us creating loads of opportunities and not been able to take them.
    The stats don't lie.

    More shots on goal
    More corners
    More possession
But not putting teams to the sword

That doesn't mean bring back Taylor and Stubbs

Agree. Lack of openness and honesty really winds me up. All of this skullduggery is the club/player/agent attempt to manage the exit of a player who doesn’t want to play for us, despite signing a contract and no doubt us subsidising his playing time at Swindon. We have received exactly zilch from all of this. The club are now going to sell him for undisclosed fee no doubt. or if no club come forward with the right amount he slots back into squad.

What is wrong with saying to the fans Jake believes he can gain a more lucrative contract in a higher division and would like to try. The vast majority of fans would respect that statement. That is his decision, and although the fans would be disappointed they would get over it. None of us have forgotten Nahki Wells exit. When will the fans be treated like adults?

And the reality is Derby were woeful last night. A lack of appetite was there primary downfall but too many players surely for a team 3rd in league 1, had a not so great night at the office.

Last night's result will only matter if we follow in the next 3 games against Colchester, Doncaster and Salford with a minimum of 6 points

We don't actually know anything, and more to the point don't actually have any right at all to be party to it. Why can't everyone stop speculating and comparing dick sizes and just let the club do what is best for the club. If that means they aren't playing him because he's being sold then so be it.

You are right the cut and thrust of league two football is a long way from last night. But until last Saturday we were handling it well under GA

Taylor is a good defender as is Stubbs. Other than replacing Doyle, I'd keep the same team for Saturday. Smallwood is the best I've seen to break up opposition play since McCall and those who disggree should watch games closely.

In truth Derby were very poor, Warne will be frustrated that his fringe players created next to nothing against an out of sorts Bradford.
The most pleasing aspect for me was watching us try and play football after a couple of matches of hoofball dross. I want to see the likes of Pointon and/or Chapman get the chance to show their undeniable talent. How Alexander fits either of them into his preferred line up I'm not sure, but we looked a fat better side going forward with them in it.
A good bounce back after the garbage on Saturday but as you say it means nothing if we revert back to how we played against Crawley.
