Derby County away

Had a look at their Bristol Street playing squads thus far and James Collins seems to be the stand out form man in this competition for them.
Derby use the standard mix of first teamers and fringe players so I'm expecting a tough game tomorrow night.

 

I'm expecting a right old beating. We will probably lose tomorrow as well.

 

I doubt the DVF will be in attendance for such a low key game too cold for them with temps between 1 and 2 during the game

 

DVF is that like our old NVF?

 

I don't have the answer to that but remember Hatchet Harry of the DLF he was a Baseball Ground mythical thug during the days of F Troop Millwall and the Notorious Bushwhackers of Newcastle.

For any of you that might be driving down tomorrow - any tips on where to park? A quick look on google street view shows it might be a bit of a pig to park somewhere that doesn't have double yellows or cameras. The only official parking is at their conference centre 15 min walk away, but only has 200 spaces

 

There's some businesses next to the ground, it's in an industrial estate where they charge to park. Can be a bugger to get out after though.

 

Aye not very helpful is it, middle of an industrial estate but no parking.

Away grounds guide suggested London road, near a pub called the navigator or something similar. It's free but still a 15 min walk away

Last time I was there we found a run down real ale pub after being turned away from the eating pub with car park and had to run the gauntlet on a Riverside walk to the ground, remember a couple of Derby fans having an early bath in said river. Their fans were certainly "friendly " that day.

 

Halliday and Kelly both suspended for tonight's game but Osadebe back in contention after serving his ban.

Might give this one a miss.

 

That is bad news, this is going to be a difficult one especially with the manner of the defeat on Saturday, it will be a interesting team sheet.

Went to this game on a Patsy double decker.
Driver hadn't a clue where the ground was, I had an idea he didn't have a driving licence.
The look on peoples faces when this Bradford Corp double decker, stopped in the centre of Manchester and Patsy leapt off politely growling
'Where's effing Maine Road'.
Comedy gold.

 

I think Derby might go pretty strong tonight. There bench had some proper talent on Saturday, and they dont play again until monday night so they might have a few more first teamers in the squad. Looking at their team, it's mental they are still in L1.

With Halliday and Kelly missing, a change in system maybe? If Stubbs isnt in squads as he is on his way out, Kelly suspended, that just leaves Taylor, Platt and Tomkinson to start in the back 3 with nobody on the bench. Guessing Gilly might have to go RWB if we stick?

 

Interesting to see how we line up tonight. A lot of players needing game time and a few of the first team need resting. I'd expect MacDonald to start and the likes of Bobby Pointon, possibly Ash Taylor. I'd give Oliver a start as well, I'd save Andy Cook for the weekend.

 

That would be nice.

Hasn't GA played intentionally strong sides though? And I think he's benefited from it, too.

I have a feeling he'll go as strong as he can, but might well start Oliver and maybe Pointon.

 

I wasn't overly looking forward to the game tonight, as I'm travelling but this just had me gulp
