Sorry I'm not explaining my self very well, I meant when you originally move to the main stand couldn't you get enough seats in the EXJ section for your party where we don't usually have to accommodate the hospitality patrons.

Yes it was, but it has been conflated with the real reason for moving us. If you had n't already guessed I am a ST holder in the Midland Road.

I also have a background in senior management and leading projects in large organisations. In this instance I am willing to put this debacle down to naivety at the club, and hopefully one Ryan et al will learn from.

Can't argue can we- a well-intentioned idea, that may have been more workable and palatable given experience and a longer period of time in its making? It is as if a couple bright kids in the classroom have come up with an idea that looks good and it's snowballed whilst the teacher was out of the room. Problem is in this scenario there does not appear to be anyone with enough experience to be teacher. I am sure if a proper cost-benefit analysis had happened and someone had put some pressure on the breaks, this thread would not exist. In the light of day, what often seems like the right decision in the beginning is often far from it and dropped.

I do not want bash and I do think Ryan has made some good decisions and will develop, hopefully with us.

Yes you don't really understand anything by the look of it. Claret and Amber specs on.

You have said that many times and it is true. But the more important issue is that Carlisle's allocation of 2,400 or so is more than the 2,000 we are obliged to provide. That is an important difference.

If it is so important to house home fans in the TLD, there is a solution which was mooted several years ago when something similar was discussed with the Supporters Board (I was a member of the SB at the time). That particular solution was to allocate Blocks F & G but also E on occasions to away supporters which would have provided slightly over 2,000 seats. It was part of a bigger plan which Baldwin and David Dowse were considering as a means of providing a more flexible solution to housing away fans for life in Div 1. It would have meant meeting the EFL's regs for those clubs with moderate followings whilst also accommodating the likes of Sheff Utd who had considerably more.

That could have been a solution for the Carlisle fixture if the club had properly understood the EFL's regs and hadn't chosen to provide more away seating than is required. It would still of course have impacted on some fans - about 700 fans (including me I might add) - but not the entirety of home fans in the MR.

If our capacity is 24,400 after segregation and closed areas then where were the nearly 2,000 empty seats on Monday. The home end was sold out and there was only 900 empty seats in the away stand so that leaves around 1000 seats unaccounted for in your calculation.

No, we know the rules, when we enter, including ticket allocations.
What we lack, is proper communication between the club and fans before they do anything.
We might not agree with what they want to do , we might, but either way probably have no choice about it.
Tickets did not need to go on sale Sunday evening , but a statement on all outlets did need to be issued first and foremost.
This is where the club has failed.

Don’t forget the modern scoreboard and the shed providing half time fare to rival fans, mingling with the home fans over a beef tea!

That's not the relevant point of the Midland Road grievance is it, we accommodated more from Orient and didn't have to move anyone, if we hadn't tried to accommodate Bradford City fans in the Bradford End there wouldn't have been any reason to ask (no we didn't ask we implemented part of the small print within the clubs T&C) to find seats in other parts of the stadium, some have been fine with it but many are not, it needn't have happened.

The first 3 rows of the Kop are covered over. Thats about 500. There is a segregation in the Midland Road of about 250/300, 900 Empty seats in the bottom tier of the TL Dallas, and the top tier wasn't full, it as about 3/4 full There was a block near the traffic lights which was mostly empty. There are your 2,000 ishseats.

When I first went on all the suites were greyed out as unavailable. Closest we could get was block H row S.

I didn’t know that all the monies the clubs collect from the playoffs is divided equally between all 4 clubs. Naively thought we kept all the money from our game and Carlisle kept theirs.

If the genuine intention in the allocation was to have home fans "roaring us on from behind both goals" then that would have been reflected in the press release announcing tickets going on sale, as part of the justification for meaning Midland Road ST holders were losing their regular seats. The fact it wasn't speaks volumes and leads me to believe that it's being used to justify a misinterpretation of the rules rather than a masterplan.

Having said that, if Carlisle having 2000, 2400, 2700 or even 20,000 fans at VP is going to be the difference that stops us progressing then we might as well just give in now, it's irrelevant.

you often got that beef tea over your head, or a cup of piss thrown over the dividing wall in those toilets, or even a lump of concrete whilst standing frozen and soaking wet , watching the superb football on show.
Loved the smell of the pipe tobacco though.

You must remember Dennis the club are never wrong. Sometimes a bit of humility goes a long way, i sense with this and the 25 year ticket fiasco that it is in very short supply when thinking of the fans.

The only problem with that (which is something I have already said) is that the segregation cannot be moved. It is static between blocks E and F

That’s why the EFL wanted us on the play offs I expect…..Have they allocated “ look at me” Drysdale yet?

It’s irrelevant only if the numbers are fully reciprocated , give or take logistics . How do they compare?
