Scored lots of goals in the past?. He had scored 3 for Port Vale and none for Harrogate or Guiseley in loan spells. Admittedly, he is still young, but where is the evidence he will score loads of goals or being much too good to be sat on the bench?

He had a chance when he came on as a sub when he was put clear with only the keeper to beat, and fluffed it. That, together with his fisticuffs, and also what MH sees at Apperley Bridge every day means he has to wait to get another chance. He will probably get this in the forthcoming cup match and it will be up to him to take it.

He's not forced his way into any starting 11s yet at any club. Wonder if he's just having his head filled with too much false praise at home? There was that business with the dogs and him saying he needs rid of them as he needs to focus to one day being a premier league player... which was just strange. Now his dad speaking out, not even in October with the striker role being filled by a bloke on the run of his career.

He'll get time here at some point, injuries or form drops will happen but making the manager have doubts about you at this point isn't going to help his cause.

You don’t really join a club on loan to spend most of your time on the bench though and certainly not if it isn’t your first loan move.

When you have a squad that’s as competitive as we have now it’s important to make an impression when you get your chance.
Aside from the Hartlepool away game when Harratt came on and changed the game, he’s done very little since including the next game against Crewe when he replaced Chapman at half time and barely had a kick.
Same applies to Hendrie who came in yesterday and in truth was poor, meaning Halliday will take his place next week.
Angol and Oliver came on yesterday and between them earned us a draw but neither will start at Harrogate unless Cook is injured.
Andy Cook had a poor game and was subbed. Who were the cretins booing? Bet they feel silly now.

That issue is clearly of his own making. Getting sent off for behaving like “ Jack the Lad “ trying to somehow win the fans over isn’t a great look for any manager. The game had finished, ended, completed…so why get involved? He let himself down and most importantly , his team mates and his manager. That’s water under the bridge now so the next issue is, has he done anything of merit on the pitch since returning? I’m struggling….! A fluffed 1 on 1 could be excused if there was anything good to counter it. There isn’t! Perhaps an assist at Hartlepool and a kneed goal but anything else?
Then we come to player form and pecking order . Cook and Oliver on showings so far, taking my first point about Harratt in to consideration are the go to leaders in the line. Have they had a yellow , never mind a red? Therefore they are more reliable. Cook is on a scoring run for sure, with Oliver a capable reliable deputy. Harratt has done zero to get ahead of these two, let’s be honest.
If he wants to stay and knuckle down, then super, but if he remains sulking ( There is no evidence he is by the way) and his dad is ridiculously trying to “influence” Mark Hughes and Huddersfield then maybe there is a strong consideration to actually sending him back. If anyone thinks he’s capable in leading the line in L1 ( someone is!) then I’m sorry they are too partisan for his lads career. Nothing wrong with supporting one’s child but common sense is required!

sadly they cannot help themselves Cook didn’t do a thing yesterday and was deserving of being subbed but for some cretins to boo his replacement was frankly embarrassing........... they should be building Oliver’s confidence up not trying to destroy it ............ hopefully he will now get a few games and cause Hughes even more problems .............. you get decent crosses into him he will get you goals

Only my opinion but I think the booing was with regards Cook being subbed, as you say probably his poorest game of the season but there was little service from our players and little acknowledgement from the referee that there was a lot of manhandling going on which Hughes alluded to in his post match interview.

    Little service.

His game isn’t based liken Hanson’s for example. Wimbledon’s number 9 showed how to play the game without service as such.

When Cook isn’t scoring he’s shite like yesterday highlighted.

    Same same.
When you boo the decision to sub a player you are indirectly booing the player coming on as you are showing disapproval and lack of confidence that the player coming on will make a difference.

He has a Dad who has ‘form’. This is a report when Wayne Harratt played at an amateur level, ‘
Harratt, 29, of Craven Road, Hemsworth, admitted assaulting Mr Stuart causing him actual bodily harm and was given 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months with 180 hours unpaid work.
Ordering him to also pay 500 compensation, the Recorder of Leeds, Judge Peter Collier QC, said such behaviour was "unacceptable whether it happened on the football pitch, the pub or street."

He will get his chance against Leicester U21's . Its up to him to prove he is worth a place in the starting line up.
You do this by knuckling down and performing on the pitch, make yourself one of the first names on the team sheet.
If he is as good as his dad thinks, he would be in his parent clubs matchday squad.

To be fair to him he hasn’t had much chance to prove it some part of the reason being his ow Ill discipline. The main thing is whilst Hughes continues to play with one up top he isn’t going to get in. A recall in January

And yet more nonsense dare you take a £10 BBU bet or are you as usual full of your highlighted word, £10 says Hughes starts Cook at Harrogate back your judgment.

What you think he wasn’t shite? Ha ha.

Well we took him off at around 70min when behind.

I think he will start next week but if he doesn’t score against them the bench will be getting closer. It’s keeping warm for him.

You can’t leave Cook out but Oliver is looking more and more impressive and he can’t afford to lose form

Thats exactly what Andy Cook did , knuckled down , saw what was staring him right in the face, did something about it and made himself undroppable. If he can do it so can others.
