Summer 2022 - Transfer Talk

Good news imo. Money for the coffers now and a PL club can hopefully develop and we can earn a few quid if he is a success.

 

Our academy is doing well. If we can get back to the top end of L1, we'll hopefully have a platform for bringing a few through

 

I used to spend a couple of hours an afternoon ringing clubcall and another one where you "played" a penalty shoot-out as I was usually home alone after school before my parents came home.

We had my uncle who lived abroad staying with us for a while and when the extortionate phone bill came through it was somehow put down to him calling back home and he ended up being asked to move out (it was either before itemised bills or we certainly didn't get one.

I've still never quite got round to confessing my part in that to any of the family!

 

Bet things got a tad steamy?

Very coincidental on Telford handing in his notice the same day we are apparently announcing some new signings. That said the well is pretty dry on rumours concerning him.

Don't see it personally - unless Cook is leaving.

I don't mind the policy of selling off some of the young lads to generate money but would like to see one or 2 come in if we get promoted that are good enough.

Also Hughes being sponsored by Collett yesterday, with the caption where's Mark Hughes heading? Someone eluded to this on twitter saying Telford. Probably nothing in it.

 

He's a fairly rare lower league player in that he's played at clubs that aren't that close - Blackpool, Bury, Newport, Plymouth, although there is a west side of the country feel.

The one clue in there for me is that he mentions he's spoke to his family about the move which suggests he may need to move house and therefore it isn't a club close to Newport.

All of which could mean he's going to Ipswich...

Any news on Charlie wood ? Apparently he was offered deal too just him and watt left
