Very much doubt Ridehalgh and Song’o will be on the move they will be first teamers

 

I can't see Songo'o going back to Morecambe, he played really well under Sparky and seemed to be really enjoying himself.

 

I would pass on zanzala, we have plenty of options now. Kians got a way higher goals per min rate than zanzala.

fact the tiktok page called him SonGOAT makes me think hes not going anywhere soon!

 

Agree on Threlkeld and maybe Cook. Dont see other two leaving. Could be wrong...

 

I don't disagree with that if they stay, I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised to see a few faces move on, of which they could be possibilities.

 

Having made our 8th signing yesterday I'm still expecting a couple of older heads to join our squad.
Richie Smallwood at 31 could well be a target as suggested by a few ITK supporters.
Plenty of experience and would certainly tick all the boxes.
He a more than capable professional with the captain's armband and if signed could be what we have missed in the form of an inspirational leader for the younger players around him.
Leadership was sadly lacking last season.

 

Palious borrowing someone elses’s money again?

 

The only reason I mention him is because he has a year left on his contract. If Adams came in for him and offered him a 2 year deal and the chance to play in league 1 he might be tempted. We may get promoted this coming season or we may not, either way there's no guarantee we will offer him a new contract next year. I guess if the offer came in it would all depend on how keen he is to play in league 1. It's just a thought.

 

In the latest issue of City talk Sparks says we are now in the 2nd phase of the recruitment plan so I expect decisions will be made this week on whether to move on from the three out of contract players

 

My guess is we would NOT offer him anything beyond his existing deal.

That's my thought too Kev, hence why I think he might be tempted IF Adams came in for him.

 

I think even if adams came for him he’d stay here. He really seems to enjoy his time here. Plus not sure morecambe could match his wages if it came to it.

 

Or play Walker on right when Vernam leaves? Could easily accommodate both

Because I think we've now announced everyone who has signed to date and we're waiting to hear if the three musketeers are leaving and if the offers we've made for more experienced first teamers will be accepted.

I reckon it will be quiet for a week or two then we may have a a bit more of a flurry of signings.

I don't think Hughes will let any of the contracted players go until we know what's happening with the 3 offers and any others we don't know about.

 

I think Mark will know just what is happening

He is getting some holidays in then, he was away on the day of the fire memorial too.
TBH the 3 that have been offered contracts have had plenty long enough now to re-sign, If they aren't keen enough to sign straight away then fk 'em.
None of them are any sort of world beaters, they must have a much higher opinion of themselves than I have.
