Ive always though he was one of the better ones along with Sutton, but chopping and changing managers and letting players contracts run down, will potentially end up costing us more, the shambles that is bcfc.

If players leave there’s a chance for others though, there may be equally good or better out there, this squad has been poor let’s not forget that.

Lincoln would be way attractive than ourselves these days.

 

You're going overboard because of one result. Our 'key attacking players' have been pretty poor for 44 games.
We're not in the top 7 because we haven't scored enough goals.

 

Weve been poor in an attacking sense most of the season but context is important. Many of those 44 games were under Adams, then Hughes inherited a disjointed, dispirited and injury plagued side whose immediate priority had to focus on defence.

Its only of late that we're seeing the fruits of Hughes being able to focus on the attacking side of our play and how many games has the midfield and attacking 6 we saw yesterday played together? Twice? And in both games we've shown real attacking quality. We won't get much better than Vernam or Angol or Walker. Its important we keep them.

 

And Perira. I really like his potential.

 

Thought exactly the same. Rumours circulating about him going to Lincoln

 

Let's hope now Lincoln and Appleton have parted company the new man may not fancy Vernam.

 

You're forgetting all the chances we've missed over the 44 games. Vernam, Angol and Walker may well be part of it next season but we definitely shouldn't be pushing the boat out. They're nothing special.

We won't get better. In my opinion. Vernam has been wasteful at times, but there's potential and if he can improve his finishing he's a real player. Walker is getting better and better as he gets fitter. The big question mark with Angol is fitness. He's not clinical, but his mobility and technical ability makes the rest of the attack much better

We're going to finish 14th in League 2. 14th.
Nobody above us has scored fewer goals than us.
These players have been part of the problem.
You need to look at the season as a whole not just 45 minutes against Sutton when the goals flowed.

Vernams contract should never have been allowed to get to this stage, yes he's been wasteful etc. but it was still obvious he was one of the very few we have capable of being in a promotion chasing side. To add to the wasteful bit if he wasn't he would be at a higher level, and even when he had games with missing chances despite getting slated on here he still generally got singled out by oppositions fans as a good player. If he's gone then it's not the end of the world and we move on.

 

If he's gone, the club are currently making themselves look very silly on twitter.
