It’s not either Delfonouso or Samuels though is it? Club claims to have been tracking for months but he arrives very last minute. There are other strikers out there who aren’t over the hill, living on the name of a former club or one good season or who aren’t young and raw.

Outbid by Rochdale on Charman and fishing round the shit pool again. Paid £50 extra for a competitive squad and we get five of six strikers who haven’t scored more 30 goals a season between them.

Sparks and Rupp must think City fans are a bunch of gullible mugs, and they’d be right in some cases.

As a decision by itself, I have no issues with Canavan leaving. The fact it happened on the last day and we didn't sign any replacement seemed nonsensical.

We all know how volatile Paudie can be. Either he or Songo'o gets a red card or an injury and we are properly knackered.

Adams said he's been one of our targets for a while who's to say Delfonouso prefered to stay and take his chance at Bolton until Evatt told him at his age he would be better playing regular football and he wasn't going to get that at Bolton and Bradford were prepared to give him that chance.

We all see things differently Neil Warnock at Sheffield United didn't have back up keepers on the bench many times because he believed the better option was an extra outfield player gave him more options with regards Paudie & Songo Adams must feel there are other players who can play there.
I think Paudie will wear the Captains arm band now Cavana has gone and the responsibility reflects in his game.

Perfect fit for the role Angol was playing but probably a bit better at it

I think you're giving the club too much credit.

I doubt they thought much at all, let alone that we had enough defensive options.

If that's really the case then it would not have been an 'after hours ' deal Dave, problem now is I having real issues believing anything Adams says - I certainly feel less confident about the crack scouting team he put in place!
Just home the players and Adams turn up tonight or its going to get messy

Need to see more motivation tonight from Adams and a team up for it and on the front foot for the FULL 90 minutes. He has to engineer 3 points now.

As an engineer....I wouldn't trust him with a nut and f*cking bolt. He's a clueless useless w*nk*r with zero personality, zero man management skills and zero chance of fulfilling his number one aim of this season.
    ADAMS....GO YOU TOSSER!

Look guys, why don’t we just give the new lads a fair crack of the whip?
The window is closed and these bunch of players are what we now have until the end of the season.
Let’s get behind them, stop whining like little bitches and see where we are in 5-6 games time.
The time to vent anger is at the Carlisle game if/when we’ve failed. And I mean full on protests on the pitch, not just some pussy booing from the back tier of the sunwin stand.
And god help the players if they fail to reach the playoffs and think they can walk round the pitch for a lap of honour getting applause from the happy clappers.

Angol, Vernan injured, Periera looking for Lord Lucan. There's a place for him in there somewhere.

He fits in the team wherever he is picked to play. That's not that difficult to work out.

I totally agree that we should give the new players support and time. Most of us seem underwhelmed but it’s not their fault. But I fear that the mood will get very toxic very soon. The bigger picture is the dysfunctional running and management of our club.

I admire that and see where you are coming from but the problem here is certainly since we got relegated to league two we continue to see history repeat itself.
We come out of a window in most fans view worse off and then the results go to shite and we all say we told you so. Then we get told to wait for the next window and we have money to spend and a new manager who takes no shit. And we do the same things again. Sign injured crap players and blame someone else. So we sack Turnbull and appoint a fancy new scouting team and again sign cheap crap loans and missing players and any small saleable
Asset is gone. No planning comes into it.

it’s almost like we ring around and see who’s available rather than have targets in mind. It’s smacks of a shambles every time and then results prove us right.

    but we go again?

The true decent chairman/CEOs/visionaries in football or whatever you want to call them, spot the problems before the fans. Same with the managers. They appoint good people and back them and are not scared to think outside the box. Look at Wenger when he took over at arsenal. Most said he wouldn’t stand a chance.
Richmond when he appointed Jewell. Again no chance. But they proved us wrong and took us all on the best journey ever

We don’t have any of that now. We go for what are a safish pair of hands in a manager. Drop all our philosophies (develop youth, have a recruitment head) on his say so and most of all do it as cheap as we can. It’s rubbish and fans are fed up
