You bang your keyboard all you like, but Sparks is going nowhere, Rupp is going nowhere, and Adams is going nowhere.

If you want to gain any respect in your Rupp/ Sparks/ Adams Out/ Everyone's a Yes Man campaign then come out in the open and stop hiding behind a keyboard and Jim Carreys face.

Or where and when you plan to start the fans collective so we can all contribute to buying Rupp out.

To be fair whether you like mister model T fordys comments he has called it correct for a few seasons . What ever has been done since the playoffs v millwall has not been done. I think a complete change is needed. Easier said than done I agree but this team is useless. We were built up to a stonking year by hiding internet boy sparky.

Every manager we bring in at this level is to take us up, they constantly fail only Parkinson since 1982 has been successful in doing so. League 2 is a great leveller it doesn’t matter if you play in a PL standard stadium or a garden shed, those that have their shit together off the field are the ones who are most successful. We don’t and you can’t blame any individual manager for that as it’s years of decline.

I’d be happy for Adams to go if we got a new owner with vision who takes time and passion in getting some football men off the field, most of our staff seem to be from Fetherstone rugby club, but I don’t have any faith the next manager would do better in fact under Rupp I fear non league so we’re above that for the time being.

The club are just going round in circles a bit like those on this forum, nothing will change Rupp had is chance to sell up in December but decided to play the knight in shining armour and look how fans on here and social media lapped it up. So don’t expect anything to change with or without Adams, only difference would be people like yourself and others making threads about Mr X out instead by October.

I don't think it's a case of us being special, but I do think certain managers fit certain profiles of club.

Take Sean Dyche for example. Burnley are one of the smallest clubs in the league, they have one of the smallest budgets, their playing squad is small and weak for the relative level and therefore their expectations are merely to survive. Dyche's style isn't pretty, but he gets them organised, fighting, defending well and being a threat from set pieces. He ticks all the boxes for what Burnley want and need.

But he's a good manager for Burnley. If he was to go to an Arsenal or Man Utd for example, his approach and style wouldn't be acceptable. Because suddenly you're managing a big fish in the league, where they're expected to win every week and entertain in the process. Suddenly he isn't ticking those boxes.

That's very much like Adams with Morecambe. He's been at a club with zero expectations and had them punching above their weight by being the underdogs every week. It works for Morecambe but he's incredibly naive if he thinks that approach will work here. City fans won't tolerate approaches like yesterday and Carlisle where we've seemingly got an inferiority complex in facing poor league two opposition.

We had that with Gary Bowyer. He was hounded out and we look like we've appointed his Scottish clone. An experienced CEO would have seen the similarities and stayed well clear of a manager who has a reputation for dour football but Sparks was obviously blindsided by his CV. But I suppose that's why you don't make the Twitter guy the CEO.

 

Yet he got promoted with Plymouth who have very similar expectations, and both times he’s been promoted from this league his teams have been one of the top scorers. Parkinson only got into the 50’s in terms of goals far less than Adams at his various clubs, sorry I disagree as long as a club is winning this mythical fit is irrelevant.

 

I agree with you that every manager we bring in, is to take us up. Otherwise what would be the point? But this season is the first in a long time, where our CEO has gone on record saying that this is our sole aim this season, and its "promotion or nothing" or something like that. Perhaps he's showing his inexperience by saying such things, and perhaps we ARE mugs for believing, but at the end of the day, if we don't go up, then a lot of questions need to be asked. Questions can be asked already about the lack of recruitment and funds to back up the bold statement, but the main question at the end of the season, when we haven't achieved what we set out to do, is what is going to change, who is going to step down, and what do we do next season to make sure this doesn't happen again.

 

I think it speaks volumes that after his achievements with Plymouth, the only job that he could attract is at the smallest club in the football league.
