    10 x 15,000 is 150 grand. Not 150,000 grand.

We'll await with interest for the clubs announcement of your money raising scheme.

Assuming you aren't "all talk" of course.

It’s a private business, not a private members club. It’s not investing in the the local area, buying year three kids at local schools a City shirt like Accrington, it’s Stefan Rupp’s business and if he wants it to grow he needs to attract my money so I get something for it. Sell me a 1981 shirt signed by Ces Podd for my home office wall, sell me a non playing place in the squad, sell me a VIP day at a home match. He’s got to work to get the money out of my pocket.

I don’t get a share of the profits or the debts. A season ticket I never use and merchandise are all he’s having from me. If Stefan wants a transfer budget he can provide it himself.

If we fans chip in £150,000 to part fund a contract for Cooke and he’s sold for half a million, where does the profit go? Community projects? A food bank? Is it distributed amongst the fans who paid? Or does it go in Rupp’s pocket?

He bought the club, if he wants success he funds it or gives me something to make me part with my money. If I’m giving money away it’s going to charity, those who really need it, not a man worth hundreds of times what I am.

    Nah just not stupid.

Rhodes sold to Rupp because Rupp could take this club to another level. More fool Rhodes. Well I suppose Rupp could be he can't be bothered.

If Rupp can't be bothered then why should fans?

Didn't we do this already and end up with Ben Muirhead?

It’s not going to catch on though is it now? City fans aren’t unique in wanting their owner to spend are they? I want the landlord of my local to buy another patio heater for the canopy out the back? Should I organise a whip round or let him know that if he doesn’t buy one or buy some gas for the one he has I’ll not buy his beer anymore.

If Rupp wants to get a transfer fund going, he could say sell a premium ST with a signed shirt for say £350. All extra money is transfer spend. Or you could donate an extra amount with your normal season ticket. Which I think they did a few years ago and raised enough to buy some wagon wheels for the coach to away fixtures.

City are a six, seven million turnover business. There’s ample money to spend on transfers, it’s just spent on absolute shite, I’m not sure I want to encourage them to buy more Mottley Henrys or Kurtis Guthries.

What would £150k actually get us? One player on a two year deal on £1,500 a week.

not sure how much players in L2 currently get is it somewhere around this? Or would that money attract a L1 player?

Apparently ‘The average highest-earner in League Two is on just over £114,000 per year’. https://www.888sport.com/blog/league-two-salary

Exeter are owned by a supporters trust though so any profits from player sales are funneled back into the running of the club.

Any player sales we make are funneled into a German mercenaries already deep pockets. There's the difference.

A better idea would be some sort of bond in a campaign to buy back VP owning the ground would make a big difference to this club

It's called having an opinion. Cos that's kinda how forums work, being able to accept that some folk will have a different viewpoint to you.

In theory it's a comment worthy of discussion. Giving extra as long as it is guaranteed to go to team strengthening has its merits If and it a big if, that Stefan Rupp backs the club with funds in the same way. As Mike Hunt alludes to, if Rupp wants my money for his private business then he's gonna have to something about it. And that means putting his hand in his own pocket.

Can't wait for the meltdown when we raise £200k and we sign a striker who's bagged 7 in last 97 games
