    This is totally true, if his head and heart have a change of mind after today there is no point in taking him on. However I think there is something about Adams - just think about it, he has managed to keep this bunch of players focused at Morecambe despite all the rumours flying around and he was rightly a very proud man after the game - and if he has committed it will be after very careful thought as to his next challenge and I dont think that will change just because he achieved what he set out to do today

    He got rid of McCall who was taking us down and brought in T&S who kept us up-where are the mistakes there?

    Evatt jumped to a bigger team in the same division. With Wellens, there is a difference between Salford and City, City are in at best a rutt, at worst a decline. Even if there are promises of things changing there is nothing to really back that up. Salford had that project with a proven pedigree of achieving its goals. I also have to wonder would Wellens have taken the job if Salford was being run by Sparks and Rupp and not his former United teammates. With Salford appointing Bowyer you perhaps see how this season has stalled their project and limited their manager options as well as it's not like Bowyer really earned getting the job full time.

    He gave McCall a new contract then sacked him Mistake 1 why give him a new contract?, He then gave T&S an 18 Month contract instead of just to the end of the season and then sacked them mistake 2,

    IIRC the McCall contract extension was not going to cost the club a penny more than his current contract eg stretching the money over a longer period of time and at the time T&S were ripping up trees results wise. You are now having a go at Sparks for being ambitious. Hard to tell what side you are on.

    Good luck to him if he's playing us against them. More Money or a new car or house he has to look after himself. But you now what ......not many clubs have our potential in Div 2 and that may just swing it before any Premiership/Scottish or Da Engleeeesshhhh comes a knocking..... Any body who sorts our drawers/Club/downward spiral out deserves a knighthood.

    the only response to that is lets hope it's 3rd time lucky. He will make more mistakes in his tenure here but hopefully get more things right. In his favour is he doesn't seem frightened of delegating responsibility.

    Not a matter of taking sides just a matter of good management which involves not making mistakes whether they cost money or not they cause turmoil and bad PR, We all hope he gets this one right because we all want the best for our club

    The thing is if he has had input on the retained list then there has to have been a deal already in place. It's absolutely a breach in contract for him to have any input in another team without being granted permission and a team isn't granting permission without there being compensation to grant him permission and City aren't going to pay compensation unless there us a deal in place for him to join otherwise they are paying to let him have an input and of if he then doesn't join his input us wasted, as is the money. It's like when Moyes joined United. Everton's last game was on the 12th of May, Moyes had no duties to carry out at Everton after that point but his contract lasted until 1st July. United requested Everton end his contract early so he could get to work, Everton asked for a stupid amount which United refused and as such Moyes wasn't allowed to do any work for United until the 1st July meaning there were over 6 weeks of limbo. It's one of the reasons United are said to have missed out on a couple of players as the club wanted the manager to sign off on the deals and some of the players wanted to speak to him about his plans.

    Whilst I didn't agree with it, there was good reason to give T&S a new deal.

    The McCall saga on the other hand was bizarre. It may not have made a difference financially, but it made Sparks look very silly.

    I'm not sure where ambition comes into it.

    You are obviously joking about Hodgson but actually, someone in his situation where his contract hasn't been cancelled but does end July 1st and neither party has any plans to renew it would actually make sense as to why it would be a done deal but not announced
