Maybe if the one off payment costs more due to banking costs it should be cheaper for the monthly payment?

Yes but you can't pay up front that's my point, they run their business on a contractual basis, Bradford City have never done that (well they have tried it but you certainly didn't get it at the same price as someone paying up front), in the past the vast majority paid on the gate.
I can’t remember the exact year I bought my first season ticket possibly early 80s, back in the day you just turned up and paid on the gate as there was plenty of room in those days.

I wouldn't know what it costs when I pay with my card, as I say thats my preference and hope the club allow me to continue playing a one off payment.

Not talking about @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart here, but our fanbase do seem particularly resistant to any progress around ticketing.

There's a high proportion that seem to prefer queuing up for hours outside the ticket office as opposed to buying with a couple of clicks online, and some seem to regard not having a brief interaction with a turnstile operator if we bring in e-turnstiles as some kind of horror.

Are we an aging supporter base?
Hopefully Sparks will drag its into the 21st century sooner rather than later. I think both options should be available, because like @Bronco@Bronco I prefer to get it out of the way. If the club want to release that amount monthly to themselves, then that’s an option too.

Of course there will be costs and plenty of them. Sell 10,000 and there is a customer base of 10,000 to maintain, update, activate, delete and much more. This kind of scheme comes at a huge administrative burden and someone has to pay for it ? Even if its only two people on £20k per annum, that cost has to be funded somehow.

Well with Sparks and the commercial team and other teams considering it the cost must have been taken into account

How is that maintenance different to normal? Except the odd cancellation? The payment collection would be automated

With the exception of the handful of people who need to buy in person at the ticket office the whole system will be automated, any updates will be done by the customer online, purchases will be uploaded to a smart card/phone app, eliminating the need to print and distribute tickets.

Any communication will involve one email which will go to all relevant people at the touch of a button. There will be a minimal manual element to the system.

I don't think that is the case at all, I quite enjoy a ride down to the ticket office and a chat with Mick then again I can go down as and when I feel like it, why would anyone not want the sort of ticketing they have at the likes of Doncaster or even Chesterfield, again it doesn't effect me at the moment as I just flash my season ticket in the Main Stand, talk about an over reaction chill my friend it's a forum where fellow poster have different opinions on many things.

Surely the whole idea is to streamline things and reduce costs for the club, unfortunately that means somethings will change. Surely as a club we need to move with the times especially if it saves the club money

Maybe the company who are taking the installment scheme on are doing it as a sponsorship deal, as Ryan said with regards the new seating being up in.

what company? If a company are running there ticketing for the subscription model they will do ticketing for everyone which would save the club a fair bit as they wouldn’t need to employe anyone in the ticket office

I quite like popping down to the ticket office and having a chat with the staff.
I do come from Drighlington though and our idea of entertainment is watching the traffic lights change !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm talking about the collection work involved in the defaulters, of which there will be many if we have a poor season. Its a good option, a second string to play, but as the main/ only option its a massive risk to cashflow
