Probably because there isn’t any potential future players to talk about atm, transfer rumour threads will never stay on topic.

You're basically using the global pandemic to justify your argument at this point, DMH and O'Donnell would both have been under contract still if it wasn't for the whole lockdown meaning we couldn't justify paying their wages - McCall made it very clear all along that they were in his mind when it came to this season. Then Cooke is a signing, for sure, but he's not a 'new player' in the sense of adding to what we had last season - I'm very glad we have him but it's not bringing anything different to the squad that failed last season.

Clarke, Sutton and Watt you can count - although as i've said before, Clarke was pretty much on a wild gap year in Grimsby. Living the dream, as some would call it.

Was decent, have him back, but didn't understand the love in. Not saying a bad player by any stretch. He did control games, give him that but I'd much rather an O'Brien or Jones in the middle.

Game of opinions, maybe I'm too harsh but I like my centre mids to either get stuck in or drive the ball forward with a bit of creativity.

Kristian Dennis signs for St Mirren so thankfully we won't be hearing his name again.

They wouldn’t they would have both been out of contract until they signed new ones 6 contracts signed 6 signings. Bye the way there a quiet a few teams in our league have had to release good players because they couldn’t afford their wages

I think Cullen would be a better proposition for Stuart because of the way he plays O’Brien would fare better in the more modern pressing game

How the hell would he know what city are offering.,not fussed if we dont get him we need a younger player that's going to stick around more than a season looking for a last pay day.

Great recent goal scoring record just what we need but doesn’t sound hopeful

Park is way out on the new signings. Add in the first year pro's that were done recently, we have 10 (ten) new players. ;)

I might have said something similar before but I reckon the delay in signing a right back and a midfielder could be due to needing to secure Vaughan's replacement first.

Just a hypothetical figure but let's say there is approximately £300,000 left in the wage budget. We need to sign a striker, a right back and a midfielder but the striker is by far the most important and expensive acquisition. Lets say the striker is demanding £5,000 per week but we can only offer £3,000 p/w because we need enough left over to sign the other players. Do we bide our time and hope his wage demands drop as we get closer to the new season? Or do we go ahead and sign the right back and the midfielder knowing that we are permanently limiting our negotiating position with our main target?

This should have been sorted weeks ago before the salary cap came in.

I think that’s right just been reading a bit about Port Vale manager talking about signing a striker who I presume is Maynard he says players are gradually coming into the their price bracket as realisation sets in about the new reality sets in.
Lots of players out of work wage demands will have to come down
