    The extent to which players can score goals at this level with other teams, is clearly irrelevant when you look at what happened with Doyle.

    Would agree but Doyle didn't score in a target man tactic. Agard has, and prolifically. Given he wont be sacked in the near future, getting someone with previous playing in the Bowyer style makes sense

    This season's the first time he's ever got even beyond a 1 in 3 ratio, 17 in 68 matches previously, over three seasons - but in fairness that was in L1

    Don't think he's a striker that's a natural finisher, but plays the Donaldson role and can do it well. But we have a Donaldson!!

    Agree there!! I'd take him, but I'd be disappointed if he was the only one. However, it's inevitable that Donaldson won't play every game - so it would give options

    And I suppose you can play both together - but the problem then it will just encourage the long ball

    Yeah. At then a L1 level. Temperamentally, I suspect he's a bit suspect as the MK Dons move, was simply a mistakec - but he still scored goals for them

    Significantly is was another 'mild mannered manager' in Tisdale, who's got the best out of him, in the 2-3 seasons
