Agard would be a good signing in isolation but in the context most can see that Vaughan/Doyle out and Agard in would be a poor bit of business.

 

Not happy with how things have gone but Doyle and Vaughan out both who didn't want to be at the club. Novak and Agard in would be that bad IMO.

That’s just the problem. I don’t think there are 7 significantly better teams IF we play well.
We aren’t playing well and haven’t been for about 4 months.

Was Vaughan that dynamic? I actually thought the partnership with Donaldson, whilst having know-how and experience and skill, lacked pace

I can't see the Agard deal getting done. After all he resigned for them last summer, although it could be for this season and they now want rid. But they turned down an approach from Salford only yesterday

Two players out to teams higher up the league,
Two players in from teams lower in the league. Lets not fool ourselves that we have signed a Championship player from Barnsley when he has been on the bench for Harrogate.

 

That link is a month old. Since then Salford have signed 3 forwards all on big money, Wilson today's signing apparently on 10K a week.

Agard would be a cracking signing really but yeah the finances might be really high. And surely cant be another loanee knowing we cant play all our current ones. Although i suppose if he is a big money signing it would shut up all those saying we are penny pinching

Simon Parker saying he's on the list on his T&A blog. Reckons more will be coming in. I know there's been criticism of the departures and the timing but what we also shouldn't do is rush to buy players who won't fit in when we reshuffle the pack next season.

 

Only signed for Aberdeen in the summer and was on 30K at United after scoring one or two goals then being loaned out a handful of times doing sod all every time. Salford matched his Aberdeen salary from the looks of things. Crazy

 

We do need another forward now but with Donaldson we have got some physicality up front which we have badly missed. could do with some in midfield now

 

Novak aint a bad signing imo, should give us some strength up front and he wants to be here unlike those two that shall not be named!

 

I've had a further look at their signings and none of them have a 'wow' factor, which goes to show how hard it is to get decent signings
