The coldest 2 games I’ve ever been to was a home game vs Carlisle on a Friday night at Odsal 85/86 and away at Hartlepool on Halloween 1992, a game where Tomlinson inexplicably let in an absolute howler. The season before we’d played them on Boxing Day and lost 1-0, a game where one of the floodlights went out so a quarter of the pitch was in darkness

 

I reckon Agard would be decent foil for The Don...

We're in the minority of those who disagree with us, i.e. most on these boards. However, that doesn't represent the 12000 fans. Just because there's a bunch of animated people demanding change, doesn't mean they speak for everyone, i.e. the 2nd Brexit vote campaign

Dramatic comments like "Nero fiddled whilst Rome burned" are what I expect off Fordy. Again, it's another entertainment OTT doom and gloom comment

Are you suggesting that if we don't get promoted the club's finished? i.e. Bowyer/Rupp etc aren't removed the club is dead? If not, why are using such dramatic language?

It could just be, like Crewe, Colchester, Portsmouth and Swindon - we have spend more than one season down here. I'll be pissed off if we do, but it won't be some kind of disaster

Fans need to get things in perspective

 

Who's to say we aren't also looking for a midfielder? Yes the mids trash but you need to put guys in the box, and if Oteh goes back we have an unfit 36 year old... that's it. Hence why they are the priority today.

Doyle didn't want to be here, it was never going to work. He return a big fat zero for us. Agard's goal returns have all come from working with a big lad. Rather than square pegging in 2 blokes that want nothing to do with us, might as well get someone with a track record of working in Bowyers type of tactic, seen as he wont be sacked in the short term.

 

I remember the Tomlinson mistake it was a shocker.

 

Lets not pretend we're after specific targets. 'Who's cheap'. That's the only box that needs ticking.

 

When the team plays half decently, i.e. Salford, Colchester, Swindon and Cheltenham matches - which 7 clubs do you think are so significantly better that makes it ridiculous to think we can be in the play-offs

Salford have just signed a striker, on an 18 month contract, that scores literally 1 in 10. Imagine if we'd signed him!!!!!

A bit of luck with injuries and a settled site and promotion is still possible

 

Novak would be pointless but Van Veen could be decent.

 

If we sign Agard, Veen and Novak I'd feel a little happier.

Scunthorpe writing off the season I suspect if they're letting them come to us ??

How exactly? Salford are signing a striker that's scored 1 in every 10 he's played and we might get Agard, but apparently that's not good enough

Exactly. At this level he'd be a good signing. But already we have a lack of enthusiasm from a significant minority. Why is that?

 

Because we have nothing in the way of a midfield to create anything for him.
