Donaldson is injured and there’s no guarantee when he will return and his fit he’ll be when he does.
Doyle is fit and clearly full of confidence. If it’s an option to recall him in January then it’s a no brainier. The worry is that Doyle won’t be happy to come back and will down tools until the end of the season and join Swindon for free.

That's about right Loyal, however if he's at City he's not scoring for our promotion rivals. To me it's a no brainer - bring him back whether he likes it or not. He can do whatever he wants when his contact finishes in the summer!

BIG what is really funny apart from Steve Coogan and Peter Kay is Doyley could be on 20 goals by then...... or more

Just as a comparison On 13 July 2017, Vaughan joined Championship club Sunderland for an undisclosed fee reported to be around £500,000, I think they are aged about the same.

I think Vaughan is much better but Doyle must be worth summmmmmmat... Shirley. At least they must pay is other half of is wages.

If he waits until summer to sell we might be back where we started with a bit of momentum though....

We are worth more in L1 than L2. Ive no issue with Rupps sole ownership. He has backed Bowyer well.

Get Doyle back, ship out Anderson, Longbridge, Shay and Omari if possible.

Devitt,Gibson and Palmer back too hopefully. Possibly Reeves and Robinson (according to him).

We probably don't need a winter transfer.

Think we need a window if we are going to do that much shipping out. Agree only a bit of tweaking for coming in.

I dont have a problem with him asking for what he believes his asset is worth, but I can't see how he could expect not merely his original purchase price back but to make a profit.
It was said when Rahic got the boot if Rupp was serious about taking the club forward he would have to think seriously about future investment, cant gumble with the backing hes given Bowyer so far but its not a one off, the higher we go as a club the more investment is required.
Not forgetting very few if any clubs make money until they hit the Holy Grial that is the Premier League.

Apart from 3 managers getting a tune out of Doyle, no manager has got a tune out of Doyle.

Can't argue with your comments don, it's just that for me we can stop his scoring for Swindon after the January window. Let's stick a nail in their aspirations! :)

When there's only Butterfield in your corner you probably should be realising a while lot more.

I'd be more surprised if we werent looking at bringing him back.

He's the best striker in the division, at this point it would be lunacy to not exercise that recall option.

You're having a laugh if you think there is a consensus among City fans that Doyle is good and should be brought back.

Most common review I've heard is he's on a purple patch.

Football forums become an echo chamber though when the same people make the same argument over and over. That works both ways, I'm not criticising.

And if Doyle doesn't like been back at City, and 'downs tools', he can kiss his 4rse goodbye to any bonuses, too ;)

Richie wellens was at Oldham with Doyle and is now at swindon so that's one manager and if you read my post correctly I did say apart from the one season wonder at Chesterfield only wellens as got a tune out of him.

Not doubting that re Vaughan, I was clearly stating that Richie wellens is the only manager to get the best out of him baring that one season at Chesterfield.
